I stumbled upon this comic http://www.gabbysplayhouse.com/webcomics/sexism/ This girl is clearly talented and creative. I can tell you that I felt totally empathetic with the main character of that comic, and felt a physical, emotional response of compassion towards her

However, if you think rationally about that plot (and it may not be easy to do so under such spell of compassion and empathy), you'll detect several not so innocent elements in it.

1) it tries to communicate that the asshole (such as the first character she meets in that story) is the most prevalent experience of masculinity women have, and that women are overwhelmingly and unavoidably surrounded by these assholes whom have no intellectual capacity or other interest than sex.

However, is that true? and what about like attracts like, and all that?

2) She expects that her accusations of sexism (very innocent in her view) should go totally unchallenged and submissively accepted by the accused. Doing otherwise is authoritarian.

3) Her Feminists are perfectly logical, and the claim that "men are sexist" is just as true as "water is wet".

Even despite knowing this, I still feel strongly compelled to be sympatetic with the main character of that story.

So, this is the morale of the story, imo. Beware of your feelings of sympathy. They are very exploitable.

And women can be assholes too.
