I've been into seduction and self-improvement for several years now but recently became aware of a huge blind spot I'd missed. It's my first time posting here so I'm not sure it's the right sub for this question. But I hope it's on topic, especially with all the mess on the Seddit subs.
Some candid video footage of me was captured during the filming of some training/recruiting materials at my company. And holy crap was I surprised at how I came across.
I've slept with more than my fair share of women, have a solid group of friends, have had some success in my career, and work out regularly. I've even had people compliment me on my confidence and poise. So I had pretty much assumed the awkward days of my teens and early 20's were over.
But after seeing the video footage, I was shocked at how much of that awkward teenager still remains. My facial expressions seemed goofy and exaggerated, and my movements came across as nervous and fidgety. Now, it wasn't so bad that the average person would have thought I looked strange. But to me, I was exhibiting the same characteristics I thought I'd left behind years ago.
Of course, it's rare to be able to see this type of candid video footage of what you look like when you're going through the world on a normal day. So I assume that this is what I must look like all the time, and I just hadn't had the chance to see it so clearly until now.
And after doing some reflection, things do kind of add up. Despite my success with women and in my social life more generally, I find that I sometimes tend to attract a somewhat "nerdier" crowd. Not all the time or in every situation. But I've found that can be the case sometimes, and I've also had people occasionally comment that I come across as "serious," when this isn't my intention.
So I was wondering if anyone has any books, podcasts, etc to recommend that will help with things like body language and facial expressions in a day-to-day context.
Most of what I've read tends to focus on when you're actively talking to a girl, or it might focus on something not dating-related, like a job interview. But my issue now is how to be at my best at 11:32am on a Wednesday at the office or a Monday at 6:18pm at the grocery store, when I'm not actively thinking about it. Any tips are appreciated.
