I've been on Tinder on and off (mostly on) for about four years. In that time I've met some great girls - some have been one night stands, others have been flings that lasted a few dates, and one turned into a relationship that lasted a few months. I also do night game, social circle game, and some occasional day game as well, but I've had good results on Tinder so I keep using it.

But I've noticed something, particularly over the last several months, and I want to see if others have noticed it too or if it's just me. In the past, it seems like it was easier to actually get a date using the app. Not that it was super easy back then, but now I feel like I'm mostly wasting my time on Tinder.

I suspect it might have something to do with the increase in girls who seem to use the app just to get more followers on Instagram/ Snapchat. I see more and more profiles that have nothing but social media info in the bio and/or are linked to a semi-professional looking Instagram. These kinds of profiles tell me a girl is just interested in having more random guys as followers and not in using the app to meet guys.

Or it could just be me. I have a couple longish term FWB's so at the moment I don't feel the need to pursue girls online unless I find them super attractive. This means I'm getting fewer matches and when I do get matches it's probably with girls who already have a ton of other guys hitting them up. But on the other hand I'm in better shape and have better pictures than I ever have in the past, so I doubt if my profile itself is the issue.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with it being harder to get dates on Tinder than it was in the past? If so, has the action moved to other apps? I've used Bumble before but when I used it my impression was that it was more of an app for relationships and Tinder was more for hooking up/ casual dating. It's been awhile since I've used it so maybe that's changed. Curious to hear other people's thoughts.
