Yes. The way things are right now women have more rights. If men are given a choice that would be closer to equality. Feminists will fight any legislation giving men equal rights because they view it as losing the power they have gained. The definition of feminism needs to be changed to something along the lines of “Feminism: the ideology that women are better than men and they deserve more rights because of their superiority.”

A woman can also walk into any hospital in (I believe now) any state and simply give the child up without any further obligation, or she can keep it an indenture the father for the next 24 years.

This is not about "the good of the child", it is about the absolute power over child and father that the government has granted...of that there is no question.

I personally support pro choice. But I also think men should be allowed to wave all responsibilities. I mean, if a guy doesn't want any involvement there's no point in forcing him to be part of it.

Yes. Men should not be forced to be a parent if they do not want to be one. Women argue the exact same thing as a reason for allowing abortion: reproductive freedom and reproductive rights. We can easily take quotes from feminists in support of abortion and apply them to men for the same reasons.

The abortion point is unique to women though, so should probably be left out due to men not being able to have abortions and the actual abortive process and pregnancy being potentially traumatic to the woman in a way no male will ever endure (so the decision doesn't really impact him in the same manner). However, both parties have the ability to put the child up for adoption/forfeit custody. As such, if the woman says "I want the child" and the man says "I don't" after it's born I don't see how its OK to let the woman's "I do" trump the man's "I dont". She is assuming responsibility--ownership more or less--for it at that moment. If she is signing up to be financially and legally responsible for the next 18 years, that is her choice. If she doesn't want to be the sole person responsible for it, she has the option to forfeit custody to adoptive services. I do not think she should have the option to force another party into supporting her desire to assume responsibility for it, when she herself is not being forced to keep it. It would be like me asking someone else to support my decision to keep a stray dog and pay for part of its care, or asking its prior owner, the person who bred it, or basically anyone else to do so.

Abortion though, like I said, is a separate issue.
