I've seen some people say that maybe she really didn't know, because for a long time it was only illegal for men and not illegal for women to have sex with children. But honestly this is one of those things were even if she didn't know about the law for this reason--or even if indeed there still weren't a law and if it were legal for women only--she would still be a sexual abuser for grooming and fucking a 12-year-old. Though it is still fucked up that until fairly recently women could have sex with under-age boys without any legal recourse, (and more fucked up that even now when it's illegal, they rarely face much legal consequences).
