How come every criticism of women in this sub seems to get qualified by criticism of men by a majority of people in the comments?

It happens the other way too. That said men criticize men WAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY more than women criticize women (at least publicly). And when women criticize other women, it is usually done behind someone’s back and and told to another woman in order to slight the woman being criticized. Usually it’s her taste in men being criticized, often by her bitter single friends.

Unfortunately internalized misogyny is all the rage among young women bitter about their lives. “Pick-Me” used to mean women who espoused trad-con values and resisted progressive values as a way to brag about how good their relationships are. That made sense.

Now “pick me” is just a term misogynistic women use to call out a woman who is either publicly criticizing other women or publicly supporting men. Their brains are fucking rotten

Whataboutism is common in any discussion, and happens both ways. You should bring it up when you see it in the moment. Acknowledge that what they're saying is also true and it's not good either, but that doesn't take away from the thing you're talking about.

In my experience, this usually resolves the whataboutism for most people that actually want a discussion, and can move the conversation past that.

Because it would be disingenuous to hype up bad female behavior as if bad male behavior isn’t worse. People talk about bad male behavior and counter with examples of bad male behavior because males like to make sure when they’re having a bad time they make it everyone else’s problem (gang violence, rape, assault, mass shootings, etc).

Compared to the average male, the average woman is a saint. So yes, trying to be like “womenz just as a bad as men.” Is going to receive push back because even the most sexist male knows that’s bullshit.

This is ideal, but I think there's a very long way to go. I think we're on the cusp of things attempting to make sense. It all starts with groups like this, or very public things like the Johnny Depp case. We're approaching being ready for that conversation.

I've seen women get away with some pretty crazy shit. It all starts with holding them accountable, especially for the bigger things beyond flakiness, games, and punctuality, as petty as they are.

Im not even sure I'd go so far as to say women are 'not accountable' rather that their accountability isn't challenged or questioned enough

It's discussed in woman's only circles, talking about toxic female behavior with my female friends and I is usually done in the forming of bonding and healing because the toxicity and crazy beliefs we've got from men often hurts us and makes us unproductive in the end, for women it's a healing experience

You can talk about all the terrible whamen among other men as it should be as it is a closed masculine space, plus it's the mothers job to train/teach the woman how to be a woman and come into her womanhood and unmasculine to discuss toxic women as a man around other women, to be fair a woman screaming all the negatives about men in the presence of men is peak long armpit hair behavior on her part, plenty of women don't partake

At the risk of saying men do it too, men do it too. We do talk about toxic female behavior. But this sub very much as an “us vs them” mentality so obviously there will be a certain amount of taking sides, on both sides.

Idk dude...I don't really think we can properly address something like "drunk women picking fights at bars and starting bar room brawls" without also addressing things like "drunk men being ridiculously prone to violence" and "a lot of men go to bars to be around drunk women in the hopes of sex and that's why the barkeep doesn't throw drunk women out so much" and "a lot of men calling for chicks to get hit if they push some guy have almost zero understanding of the local laws about self defence and that's actually a really big problem for everyone.why aren't we teaching self defence laws in school since apparently as a species we don't all seem capable of not being casually violent" and a bunch of other relevant aspects of the problem.

Yes I know it is frustrating when everything is interlocked but you only want one aspect of the problem changed but that's stupid because everything is interlocked. This is why change is hard and the world isn't perfect yet and youth is in a perpetual state of anger at the generation before it not fixing things yet.
