The lead attorney on YouTube has talked about this more than once. Also Melissa Isaak is another attorney who has talked about this. System is tilted towards mothers, there are bad fathers out there but toxic mothers seem to get away with it due to how the system works.

[–]jyORKb 69 points70 points71 points 3 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

More often than not the father didn’t just leave, he was pushed out because there’s a lot of women who turn basic coparenting into a massive power trip.

[–]Alarming_Draw 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

By any reasonable standards, the shit fathers go through when co-parenting, at the hands of the abusive mothers, should be considered domestic abuse, and the woman lose their parental rights.

[–]Revolutionary-Bet396 -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

that is absolute BS and just proves how far from reality and in their own echo chamber this subreddit is. I alone know multiple kids in families where the dad isnt present and doesnt make any attempts to reach his kids, is by definition a shit dad and has nothing holding him back. and i dont know a SINGLE family where its the mother that ran away/doesnt contact her children.. smh

[–]swelly_rowland 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My dad had to take me away after my mother woke my brother up with a liquor bottle to the face a few too many times.

The court system still tried to give me to an abusive junkie mother instead of my incredible father due to institutionalized sexism. The court battle scarred my family for decades and my dad has lasting trauma from it.

Ive seen it play “the other way” a few times now. Multiple toxic women hollowing men out and using the government to do it.

[–]jyORKb 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

But let’s not mention the fathers who are separated from the mother who are still involved with their kids… just because you don’t know them.

[+]Revolutionary-Bet396 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

they DO exist. they just statistically are the minority, not ALL OF THEM, as you claim. the "did your dad go out to get milk" joke isnt a joke for no reason 🤦🏼‍♀️

[–]swelly_rowland 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Women and courts frequently browbeat men out of the kids lives as much as possible then gaslight the kids and society about it.

At the end of the day we are forced into our roles as wallets at every turn.

[–]CatchPhraze 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

90% of custody arrangements happen without a court.

No. Men choose to be absentee parents. They might do so for social or gender roll reasons that are anti men, but they make that choice.

[–]Unnecessary_Timeline 33 points34 points35 points 3 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Also, so many of these single mothers are raising a kid that the father never consented to creating. Their birth control fails, or they lie about taking birth control, and then when the man expresses that he doesn't want to be father to a child with her, she goes off on her own. More often than not, they are single mothers because they selfishly decided to bring a fetus to term knowing that the father did not want it. This is what my aunt did to my cousin's father.

[–]lonewolf86254 16 points17 points18 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There’s two videos I’ve seen on YouTube. One guy asked his mum why she never married his father and she told him she never wanted Marriage and his father was already married. Another guy told of how he grew up hearing his dad wasn’t not interested in being a father until he confronted him in his early 20s and was shown multiple court filings requesting visitation.

[–]IAPiratesFan 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Wife’s step-niece is trying to get the father of her daughter out of their lives. She got full custody with the ex-bf getting weekend visitation rights. She has tried to get his visitation rights thrown out while demanding more child support. I told the ex to fight her and don’t let her win. Pretty much all of us are in favor of him getting at least shared custody.

[–]Revolutionary-Bet396 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

😂😂😂🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ biggest bs i ever read.

and how is it the girls fault if birth control fails if she still took it regularly. no birth control is 100% safe if you know the pearl index. Birth control is BOTH partners business and if it doesnt work, both people are responsible, not just the person who's body the baby is in.

And to say the main reason for single mothers is mothers cheating with their birthcontrol and being viscious and planning s pregnancy behind their partners back is just so far off from reality and deluded i dont know what to say 😂😶

How would you enforce a paternal consent law? Are you advocating for forced abortion or something?

Because most single mothers, Make terrible parents.

[–]lonewolf86254 23 points24 points25 points 3 years ago* (21 children) | Copy Link

There’s a time I asked in a forum how does a woman hookup with a guy with two baby mamas then complain when he leaves her knocked up. I was told I was victim blaming. Anytime you ask about personal responsibility, you get a lecture on the historical injustices from 1934.

[–]sunzi23 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link

Sometimes victims need to be blamed. How else will they learn?

[–]lonewolf86254 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Seems you didn’t get the memo, men always lie to women, get them knocked up and run away from their responsibility. That’s why society needs to “teach” men to be better. Never mind the fact that these women choose who they lay with during their ovulation window.

[–]sunzi23 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Yeah right. Thats such a lie. There is no where to run in this country. All she has to do is run to the court house for child support and dude will get found real easy.

[–]lonewolf86254 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Once you ask a few questions the story falls apart. I watched some child support court video and there’s a mother who was just in it for the money. Just wanted to get the guy paying into system and then move to another city.

[–]mhptk8888 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

THIS!!!

I can't tell you how many times I've asked a few very simple questions and in no time, it was all about the money.

[–]lonewolf86254 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Read up on child support and the government can technically get to a man even in another country as long as they have an agreement with that nation.

[–]sunzi23 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well yeah because as long as you're still a US citizen, they own you. You still have to file taxes. They can cancel your US passport, seize bank accounts, etc...

[–]mhptk8888 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Sometimes victims are absolutely not victims.

[–]lonewolf86254 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Careful you’re gonna get labeled a “victim blamer “

[–]mhptk8888 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Anything to remove personal responsibility.

Worse then children.

[–]lonewolf86254 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

You’re right. With children there’s the possibility of correction. They hate when you ask about personal responsibility. Honestly, you’re an adult who is supposed to be responsible for your reproduction?

[–]mhptk8888 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Ever notice how feminism has NEVER been about equality.

Only gaining more rights while removing any responsibility.

[–]lonewolf86254 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

That’s what has become clear. You are RESPONSIBLE for any choice you make. You can’t escape this. There’s a reason why certain rules were in place. There’s a woman who wrote a book and she was stating that things like having sex under the umbrella of marriage was better for society.

[–]mhptk8888 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Women are doing a pretty good job of escaping responsibility and consequences.

[–]Snippychicken22 26 points27 points28 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women cause more abuse towards children then men

Every child needs a male and female rolemodel

[–]BLACKWINGSgocaw1 points 3 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

It's not men that are failing as fathers. It's women that are fucking the fathers over. My brother in law was a hard working man with a job and was focused on building a life for his family. His baby momma was a lazy bitch and a drug addict. I'll let you guess which one had to fight for custody of the children.

[–]sunzi23 10 points11 points12 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You mean the ones who married the state and kicked the father out of the home?

[–]lonewolf86254 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In some cases they hadn’t created a home so he was never there from the start.

[–]zaph239 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

At the moment there is outrage in the UK because the government wants to make single mothers work. Feminists are very angry about this, which shows the truth about feminism and single motherhood. It isn't about empowerment, women going their own way. It is about making taxpaying men the breadwinner and fathers of last resort via the benefit system.

If women are too immature to pick men who will stay for the long haul and pick unreliable badboys. Why should I have to bail them out?

[–]lonewolf86254 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I took some economics in school years ago and one thing I remember from that class was that social programs are expensive and there needs to be more people putting in than those taking out.

[–]HugoCaldeira19902 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

woman rights was biggest mistake

[–]Harsimaja 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

So I actually do get where they’re coming from. There is a lot of judgement that comes with being a single mother, often unfair, and there are plenty of jokes around, even if it’s not their fault and they’re actually raising the kids.

On the other hand, assuming the fathers ‘failed as fathers’ is a bit rich too. Maybe. A lot are in prison, or just abandoned their kids, etc. But maybe not. A lot of the time the relationship failed for neutral reasons and the mother won’t let the father see his kids because the court system is extremely biased against dads - even if he’s desperate to. Sometimes the father died or is incapacitated. Sometimes the relationship failed because she cheated, or - at least in the past - maybe both parents were irresponsible and she just doesn’t know who the father is or got it wrong.

The problem is that in practice radical feminism tends to consider pregnancy and kids a burden that oppresses women (to be fair, they’re prone to consider everything from rubbers ducks to lunar eclipses oppressive to women), when most mothers actually (gasp) love their kids and want to be with them - as do (gasp again) most dads. Most radical feminists overwhelmingly paint this as unfair on the women because it can’t see babies as anything but parasites., when it’s very much a mix.

[–]Man_Weird 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I didn't understand

[–]antifeminist3 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If a a woman abandon a baby using 'safe haven' laws, she is lauded for 'doing what is best for the baby'. If a man never wanted a baby 'he failed'.

This double standard is created by feminism and by the fact that only women choose whether to bring a baby into the world.

[–]Critical_Mistake_315 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Bro single moms deserve so much more credit
