Out of curiosity and if you are comfortable, what was the situation that led to the lawsuit? Not american so not sure what a class action lawsuit is..

Bumble in my area was full of uglies. OKC had a weird format and even weirder men. I've been banned from Tinder for two years now, so thankfully I can never have a weak moment and redownload.

But trying Hinge was really the last straw for me. I always thought it was cringey, but I wanted to see if it lived up to its relationship-oriented reputation. Surprise: it did not. It was worse. Full of desperate losers; the rejects that failed to 'get women' from Bumble and Tinder, if you will. I'd say it's even more dangerous because these are the types of men who are good at pretending. Pretending they want relationships. Pretending they're honest. Pretending they have good intentions. Preying on naive women who may be letting their guard down because an app tells her it's "relationship oriented and thus filled with high value men looking for the same"
A few months ago I met and blocked someone who is probably a sociopath and/or rapist. He seemed normal over video calls and text, but in person something was off. His eyes were dead. At the table, he told me he was a "reformed player" as he ironically tried to touch my leg. His breath smelled like actual shit too, and he full on picked his ear in front of me. It was scary and gross. I felt physically ill before going on the date, and instead of chalking it up to nerves I should've listened to my gut.

So for anyone wondering, don't bother with Hinge either. Dating apps are not the place to be right now, or ever.
