I owned a house when I met my late husband. He lived in a better neighborhood than me, so we agreed we’d live in his house once married. I made two things abundantly clear - I would absolutely not list my house until we were married, and once we were married, I expected him to add my name to his deed.

This is proof you could be a 10, with money, a career, and come from a great family. If you don’t have self esteem and believe in yourself first, you might as well have nothing at all. Always believe in yourself girls or they will walk all over you no matter who you are.

My friend asked if I would move to another state for a man. That would mean I give up my niche professional career, so I said I only would do so if he gave me $1 million beforehand. She found that ridiculous but my rationale is I would lose a lot of earning potential and need a comfy cushion + bonus incentive to give up something I invested so much of my invaluable time into.
