Great to see, support network for dads is quite poor, I was a member of NCT in the UK and the mums all still keep in touch, but the dads don't.

Also I lost my dad a couple years back so there is no one to seek that advice from, we are all kinda meant to "suck it up" and look after the mum and baby, which is in itself a huge weight on our soldiers, pair that with all the emotions of being a new dad is crazy!

I was a SAHD for 3 years. I would have LOVED something like this. If for no other reason, the sense of community would have been a godsend. It was lonely.

Would like to see more positive posts like this...would like to see more things like this in general.

as a former at home parent(dad) I would be interested in a comment from anyone who attended.

Part of me is still naturally suspicious that a "surprise" will be sprung on them.

I was an expat and i found it difficult to take my baby daughter to various "clubs" because I would get "dirty" looks or be shunned by the mothers. Some were nice and didn't care that it was a dad there( they liked it) but others gave their disapproving looks. This kind of behaviour seemed to be worse among expat communities.I really could have done with support because of the abuse i ( and my daughter) were subjected to in our home, but when people are stuck with their narrow minded view it makes the situation worse..
