Why do you adopt an ideology instead of thinking for yourself?
[β][deleted] -2 points-1 points0 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I am thinking for myself, that's why im here to discuss. I noticed the change in my life for the better when taking the redpill, and am really curious why people want to go back to blue pill after taking TRP. Is it the wrong branch?
[β]JungJoc23 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's not red or blue or black or purple homie. Its not BLM or feminists or white supremacists or chauvinists or whatever. These are all just categories. Don't latch on. Don't view others as being latched on. Surely some are truly latched on but you don't want to be around those people. If you're stuck in this categorical thinking, any sniff of one group or another causes you to discard any possible complexity. It's not helpful for your development to do this with any topic you intend to understand better. In school at work or with people. There are definite positives mixed into redpill. Working out, working towards your goals, being less dependent on acceptance from women (or even friends). These are all valuable pusuits in my eyes and I still work on all of these. But then there's layers of fear covered up by hatred, there's oversimplifications intent on keeping the messaging repeatable (so the people less able to critically think can still spread the message). Once you step inside you are surrounded by certainty. We all want certainty in our lives. It tricks us. We say "they must be onto something" but none of it is novel. It's all basic concepts fluffed up with humour and a consistent, cult-like messaging.
There's three resources I'll share.
Pedagogy of the Oppressed by Paulo Friere https://www.researchgate.net/publication/260297860_Paulo_Freire's_Pedagogy_of_the_Oppressed
I think this will help you shape some new views about BLM and feminism. It's a theoretical view of oppression and liberation written in 1960s Latin America. It can be hard to follow/understand but it helped me pinpoint what it was I found dissatisfying about the BLM, feminism, LGBTQ and other modern movements.
Teal Swan https://youtube.com/c/TealSwanOfficial
Just search for masculinity within her channel and watch some stuff. I am very iffy on her overall psychology and philosophy. I think there are some fundamental ideas she holds (that shape much of her work/recommendations) which I think are very lacking in relation to some other ideas out there. But i do think her views on this topic provide some insight into the slight nuances that redpill misses (or doesn't want to accept). She agrees with you (and me) that there's a bit of an attack on masculinity.
King, Warrior, Magician, Lover by Robert Moore and Douglas Gillette https://www.pdfdrive.com/king-warrior-magician-lover-rediscovering-the-archetypes-of-the-mature-masculine-e157175110.html
Or just buy the book. It's like THE book on positive masculinity.
These three have influenced me. First two have removed the veil a little bit, gave me a way to understand what I felt about the ideologies but couldn't explain well with thoughts. The last was useful when I was ready to deepen myself and set a new course.
You're quite young. It's tough. You're gonna see "redpill" all over. It's just people being young. It's possible that your frustration and subsequent questioning of these ideas is a sign of your above average maturity. Take these desires somewhere. You can build yourself into an individual of true capability. Just don't forget to give people a break. We're all on different levels, in different places, have different hurts. Set your path but don't let it block others paths, just take note of when yours crosses with theirs.

Nowadays no one thinks by themselves. Even if they grow with their parents, both have the right to impose some critical thinking on you

1950s are only good for the countries that won the war. Other countries were picking up the pieces. The people hardened, the men and the women, and they had to. They needed to rebuild.
You do not know how lucky you are. You are 19 with opportunities that so many men in this world can only dream of. You want to move to places where men have to really act hard, because if they act weak, their mother, sister, wife, daughter will be taken by stronger men? Is that what you want?
You live in a country where it is considered safe for women in your family to go out and make something of herself. You do not need to play escort, so that some men will not throw acid to your loved ones faces.
You won birth lottery by just being born where you are...and you use all of these luck and opportunities to feel like a victim?

I checked and heβs actually 15 lol
[β]Yesm3can 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Oh for fuck's sake. I really need to take a break from this subreddit.
As someone who had lived in a country where it is in theory 'RedPill' paradise (it is only paradise for rich men. Poor men are treated even worse than poor women because their lives means nothing), it is so frustrating seeing guys here who do not know how -good- they have it, thinking that they are society's victims. A lot of men from the so called RP approved countries will give everything to be able to trade position/life with them.
[β][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah but think about it, they think theyβre society victims just because they didnβt get their dick wet yet lol. Edit: shit I also need a break lol

All this and you haven't figured out that your basically just like a middle aged soccer mom stuck in a MLM. That's all TRP is, a marketing plot. That's all PUA has always been, a way to make money on gullible, desperate people.
Look at you, just running around advertising for Rollo and getting no "stan" money for it. He gets paid everytime you manage to send a pair of eyeballs towards his content. Kinda just like insta girl influencers, you're being manipulated to think that you're a part of a special group if you act and play the part correctly.
I bet you're didn't even live in the 1990s but you're so self assured as to what actually happened in the 1950s. It's that cock sure attitude that is going to get you to swap your freedom of youth for an ideology.
[β][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Well, if we're talking about the product that he is selling, i would say it damn well works. My life has only gotten better after TRP. I personally wouldn't advise men to buy PUA courses anyway. The book i am discussing is a way of life in regards to dating and lifestyle choices.
About the 1950's like i said in a other comment,
I didn't say 1950 was better. I said the traditional household and values are gone, making way for extreme hypergamy and a sense of entitlement.
This here is a fact.
But then again i haven't heard any counter arguments why our methods and views are untrue.
[β]JungJoc23 -1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
How exactly is this a useful comment? The guy is coming here saying "I want to be exredpill" and you're gonna respond like that? And you're getting upvotes? What's going on in this place
[β]I_like_the_word_MUFF 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
People who want something from you will tell you what you want to hear.
I'm just telling the truth. If you're buying into TRP, you're just a stooge to clever marketing. You're no different then the clowns at Scientology believing that we evolved from clams and we are cogs in a space war. No different than that chick who is selling leggings and vaginal steaming as a "lifestyle choice". No different than white nationalists desperately trying to convince people that they are the "master race".
You can choose to live and believe however you want, but let's not pretend that TRP is more than just what it is, self soothing for people who need to be told how to live. Just like insta influencer groupie needs to be told what to wear and soft willed people need a charismatic leader to follow.
If you don't want to see your reflection, stop trying to use reddit as some kind of mirror. Go out there and live your best TRP life or don't, but there's nothing gained by lying to people who are already buying somebody else's lie.

Isn't this exredpill? How'd people change?
What is marketing exactly? A name for a feature of human being's capacity for being influenced? What's behind that? That we are social, that we rely on others for information, that this implies a level of trust, that this implies a level of dependence on each other, that in effect WE influence other people? Does marketing attack the people it wants to influence? No, generally not.
Are you doing the same thing redpill and scientology does by labeling the "other" as something to explain away all the variation and complexity? Are you not simply identifying with "not that" instead of redpill or whatever?
Redpillers want to come here and be attacked, called stupid, hear emotional responses. Because THEY claim rationality. They equate a simplified system of logic and rhetoric as rationality. It's not. It seems much more useful to me (more rational) to approach them and it and the ideas with an objective view. What is it truly they're saying, what is it that that person truly needs, what is it that helps them see something differently, etc etc. Downvoting and attacking does nothing but make an already defensive person into more of a defensive person.

All this to tell me that I'm playing the game wrong.
Like I said, not here to change anyone, prove anything, sell anything... I could honestly care less if some boy wants to throw away the first quarter of their life to what boils down to a cult.
There is no "right way" to life.
There are only a couple of billion imperfect people living imperfect lives trying desperately to build imperfect relationships using imperfect communication skills in an otherwise completely imperfect world.
But if spinning plates and worshipping on an alter of psychologically gaming the "system" is your thing, be you.
Just don't ask me to not be critical, that's my right.
[β]JungJoc23 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
It's certainly your right to say what you want to say. But what are you doing here then? What's your purpose in exredpill?

Maybe just learn to let it go.
[β]JungJoc23 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's important to me that when a door is opened this community takes advantage. I also sense a lot of hypocrisy in this community. I like to call it out. That's me being critical. I think we can do better.

You make it seem like it would be better if the world was like it was in 1950, which I feel is an incorrect assumption.
What's wrong with 'the average 19 year old'?
It's a little contradictory to say 'All BLM and she/her shit' and then follow it up with 'it's totally respectable to have those opinions, it's just herd mentality'. Like... it doesn't sound like you respect those opinions at all. Also, there are a lot of people against BLM and she/her - it's probably a roughly equal split. Can it be herd mentality if half the herd disagree?
I don't think it's really possible to say what 70% of average women are like.
[β][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Hell, i respect leftist opinions on it's own. My issue with it is that it's hyped and no one really cares unless the majority cares. The damn shallowness and "pick me" behaviour is what irritates me.
Could be a split indeed, it's just an estimation. We both don't know the exact statistics.
[β]Inareskai 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Hypergamy isn't real, it's not a measurable phenomenon in our society. What traditional values would you say have gone?
No one caring unless the majority cares applies to a lot more than just leftist opinions. It's also interesting because that's not at all how I've seen the 'pick me' phrase used.
[β][deleted] -2 points-1 points0 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
If hypergamy isn't real, why are women crushing on toptier status guys? Why are there golddiggers? Why aren't there women dating down? (A businesswomen dating a store clerk)
Hypergamy is simple. Looks, Money, Status.
Already told the values gone, traditional households, not begging for attention etc.
And to clarify pick me, it's doing shit to try and blend in and be accepted.
[β]Inareskai 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Firstly, I didn't say the quote you've replied with??
Secondly:
Plenty of women 'date down' (I hate that phrase). Although more accurately most people date generally within their own social spheres, so more like 'dating across'.
Why does anyone crush on celebrities, this isn't a women only thing. Why do men crush on 'top tier status' women? I don't know. Some people really care, many people don't.
I didn't say there weren't people who dated for money etc. I just said it wasn't a measurable phenomenon - it's not happening on a large enough scale for it to be something that we accept as the 'nature' of women.
'Traditional households' - what does that MEAN though? That's not a 'value'. Neither is not begging for attention (and lol, people in the 1950s and before absolutely had their own ways of standing out to get attention).
How can 'pick me' involve blending in? That doesn't make sense. 'Pick me' as I know it means purposefully saying or doing things to make you 'different' so you stand out and people take notice of you.

You are in a cult sir. Funny you mention herd mentality. I suggest looking in the mirror.
[β]Frid_here_sup 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I used to think all men are shit, because that was all I saw in my small town school in the middle of nowhere. My mind changed when I went to college, where men made 80% of the students in my major (sound design). I had opportunity to interact with men from different places, lots of them were intelligent, funny, caring, passionate. Only then I realised how stupid I was. You are young, I was like you when I was your age. When you meet people from a bunch of different places and environments, only then you will see that this percentage number of women that are described by TRP will vary drastically based on where you are and who you interact with. Same with men
[β]the_pupilwx 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I personally think that before I belive anything someone else's says, I'd like to see if I can reach the same conclusion by myself without outside sources.
How many girls have you talked to neuturally. Without an intrest in?
Did you rise the topic with other people outside the internet?
There is also the point of where ideas and concepts are just recycling of the same core idea, and the actual research and sceince gets berried in social stigmas and marketing campaigns.
[β][deleted] -4 points-3 points-2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I have female friends (platonic) and they're cool people i do know their nature. I'm not kicking women to the ground like most people want you to believe about TRP. we are simply aware of hypergamy and the little mind games female nature plays on men.
I did rise the topic, even talked about it with a female with their guard up, didn't admit fully but didn't bring any valuable arguments to the table either.
Oh yes, TRP is quite the marketing trick nowadays for PUA's to use. The core idea is the book "The Rational Male"
[β]the_pupilwx 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
wdym by didn't fully admit? could this be a rationalization by your part?
what research does "The Rational Male" is based on? could you reference that?
they're cool people i do know their nature.
Could you be presuming to know their nature based on what you read somewhere else?
