Not going to lie... I'm forcing this on my ex. Served her yesterday. Today found out she is claiming I'm her abuser (long story)

So my lawyer is planning a subpoena on all her med records.

If a judge has ordered it, you've got two choices: (1) Provide the documentation or (2) be in contempt, pay her attorney fees and then you'll provide the documentation anyway because it's what you have to do to get divorced.

Discovery is a two-way street. You should be requesting the same from her.

I didn’t get asked to sign a HIPPA release, but did get asked for basically all financial and medical details. Sounds like a fishing expedition. On the flip side, since you didn’t go it should be to your benefit. But I’d ask your lawyer to ask for the same. AND don’t get respond until you get the same from her. My XW asked for all this stuff, I filled it all out, and she never did. It didn’t amount to anything, but still very annoying.

Has a judge actually ordered this or did the opposing attorney ask for it?

Also, be strategic, maybe it’s to your advantage to provide it, maybe not.

Originally the opposing attorney wanted 10 years worth of bank records, all work Evals and personnel files. And 10 years of ALL medical and counseling records.
