It's a branch of /r/feminism. They labelled it that way to make it look like men supports feminism and see themselves as problem.

They want men to become unmasculine because they think masculinity is bad? That's what is seems like anyway, I think they are ridiculous. If you don't want to be masculine that's your business but don't try shame it.

Menslib bills itself as a place for examining men's issues from within a feminist framework. The downside being that issues more complex and universal still get applied through it like a square peg in a round hole. Worse is when you attempt to speak out, your comments will either get deleted or your username banned. Maybe both at the same time.

Anyways, menslib is pretty much male feminists. Their answer to issues men face is to blame masculinity and men, while ignoring the roles that feminism and women in general play in them.

They are completely lost in feminist theory land. No more connection to reality, no critical thinking.

Some see themself as the rare examples of good men so they can blame and shame the rest of men (which are of course all other men who don't believe all narratives). A bit totalitarian style, be 100% with us or you'r our enimy.

They allow (yes, allow is the appropriate word) men to talk about being raped by women, as long as they talk about it in a way that doesn't offend women.

They insult people who disagree with them for not being traditionally masculine.

They insult men for being gay.

It's not about men's rights, or men's liberation. It's about keeping men in line.

When you've been raised by a feminist (or other overbearing mother), especially by a single mother or with an ineffectual, passive father, the only thing you can think to offer women is self-deprecation, meekness, and sycophancy. That's what menslib is.

A big part of it is that such parents have no real desire to 'make a man' out of their sons, because if you see men as essentially monsters, why would you want to raise your son to become a monster?

The conversations and topics are a mirror of this one. The biggest differences:

Over there, upvotes without a comment to lead to libfem ideas getting upvotes. Here, they tend to be memes that are only part understood (looking at you Berenstein Bears post from this past week).
The moderation. There: anything as hominem gets all of the comments below it removed (recently a post about DV had a guy get really upset at someone from here pointing out that violence is often instigated by the woman). A MensLib poster called the MRA a facist and the mods removed the whole thread. Here, that's something we would downvote, but we don't silence people. They do also block posts based on gender essentialism which I can see (happened on same thread where they shut down a guy who's whole argument was women can't be violent).
The comments are almost always the same on the threads as they are here. The difference is the policing of tone over there. Content wise, MensLib and MRAs are mostly on the same page. The difference is just mods remove shit.

They care more about satisfying their feminist overlords than men's rights. Say anything slightly anti-feminist and they'll censor you.
