So I was hanging around the gym today while my wife finished her sets. I was answering email on my phone and very sporadically doing machine curls. I was essentially just hanging out in the curl machine (bad as gym etiquette but it wasn’t busy) for around twenty minutes. Out of the blue a woman comes up to me and berates me for sitting at the machine for too long and staring at her ass (she was in the machine I front of me). I didn’t even notice her before and wasn’t gawking in anyway. She even said “I don’t think you were staring at my ass but you shouldn’t be there. Go to Starbucks”. I was flummoxed by her attack and went to another room where a woman gym employee then walked up and interrogated me as to what workout I was doing. I was simply minding my business. I felt completely profiled just because I’m a middle aged man. I can’t imagine a woman being treated the same way.
