Original story: a female my brother worked with over 2 months ago, who no longer works there, called into his job last week and accused him of making her uncomfortable. We have now discovered that she claimed he made an inappropriate advance on her. There were no witnesses and no corroboration. After a week of no word and suspension he was let go today. The company simply stated that for legal and liability reasons they could not keep him on the job. I have learned while researching during this ordeal that he has no rights or recourse.

I share this as a cautionary tale. We have no idea why this woman decided to ruin my brothers career. He is now unemployed, has no health insurance, and his future prospects for employment are not looking good. Do NOT interact with women at work without others in the same space and do NOT talk to them outside of professional conversation. Without cause or evidence they can ruin your life.

I’m floored and speechless and enraged for my brother and I hope to all things holy karma finds a way to make this right. Be careful guys, it’s a terrifying and unjust world out there.
