Local Fast food place does this. I exclusively use the Women's room to Poop. Way more comfortable and cleaner for pooping. They're single occupancy so no one can actually complain.

i still remember going to this local bar with friends that didn't have signs on the bathrooms and since they were single use it made sense to me. I thought this was a great idea and always used the one on the right just cause habit. Que one night going to go to the bathroom and some drunk old dude seemingly makes it his job to guard the bathrooms and screams "THATS THE LADIES ROOM" after i gave several respectful knocks to make sure no one was in there. Upon realizing my "mistake' i went to the other bathroom and low and behold it was twice as small with no exaggeration.

This is the new reality. I've seen this in many places (usually bars).

It's a double standard. Men aren't allowed to have their own safe spaces. If they do, that's "misogyny".

Women must have their own safe spaces. Because despite being as strong and as capable as men, get over it, they still need protection (figure that one out).

I don't think it's right. If we start having three bathrooms, fine. Or if all bathrooms are non gender specific, fine.

But the picture you've just shown demonstrates an inequality, and a fundamental misunderstanding of what personal space means.

Okay, don’t kill me, but I want to throw out a potential, legitimate reason for this, that I’m only speculating at. For the record, I don’t like the situation, either, but trying to wrap my logical mind around it.

What if the vast majority of their clients are women, and these are their only bathrooms?

Would it really matter, then? People would potentially need to queue, either way, if there’s several people who want to go at the same time, but now it’s a first-come-first served for the 2nd bathroom.

IDK they just might not have the space and enough male customers to justify the allocation of resources like this. And men can use the restroom in view, so it's not like they don't have a place to go
