I mean there's strength in numbers, and I think the answer is obvious: many are fearful of groups of men, even if they're trying to do something positive like legitimately campaign for men's rights. I guess many feminists already claim there's a 'boy's club' and women are actually more competitive cos of the patriarchy. But both men and women compete against each other and indeed the opposite sex. Of course women should always band together/support each other.
