for as much as people will want to argue hate against the 'privileged' doesn't matter. they're just wrong.

black people kill white people because they hate white people. women kill men because they hate men for all being rapists. this behaviour is ignored, downplayed, or even outright assumed it never happens (twox). if we give the a-ok to misandry because "men don't get killed for misandry like women get killed over misogyny", all we do is enable these mentally ill people, these sick and twisted individuals. the people who will kill others.

do you know why misogynists exist, why they kill women? its because we tell men its okay to be hated because you're a man. so ofc, people take that and realise it must also be okay to hate someone just because they're women. misandrists exist because feminism teaches women all men are to be feared. that all men are vile, disgusting pigs who will hurt you - even kill you - and are only interested in you for your body.

I read the beginning and thought “oh, thats not too bad, kinda feels like they understand an agree” and then it spiraled into bullshit finishing with “Where would we be if the latter could start to claim our treatment of them was motivated by anti-male bigotry?” And all i have to answer that with is that wed be where we are today. Is anyone really surprised that a feminist is writing this article. Alot of what she said made no sense to me. And anyone can call me out if they feel other wise. If women are really the ones who are so oppressed then why is it that in most colleges are female dominate ? Why is it that a women can make a claim that a man abused / sexually assaulted her with no evidence and still have the majority of people on her side ? Why is it that men can literally have their lives destroyed because a women gets mad and makes a false accusation ?? I really feel sorry for feminists like this one, because it takes a special kind of stupid to think 50% of the population hate you and want you 'oppressed'. 'Oppression' in the past meant women didn't have to work and were given special treatment by chivalrous men. And if studies on happiness are anything to go by, women on average preferred this approach. So if men are truly evil and worth hating, why were women happier before feminism? It's the kind of article about which I find myself questioning more or less every other sentence - "is it?", "do they?" and "are you sure?"

At the end of the day the author thinks it's propaganda, but I suspect the editor of that website probably published it knowing full well the reaction it would get. Smith is, to an extent, already the punchline of a joke at her own expense.

What I would say is that anyone who feels the need to go over there and comment on it should do so politely and reasonably, because getting angry about it, while arguably justified, doesn't help us look like the good guys.

Problem 1: Considering misogyny a crime but not misandry is legal discrimination.

Problem 2: Misogyny or hating women is an emotion. There are all sorts of problems in defining a law by a person’s emotion. For one thing, since we can’t know what someone is thinking, it often makes assumptions about motivation that might be incorrect. Another is it can mean two people are being prosecuted differently for the exact same action which is a form of discrimination. If a woman hits another woman she’s accused of a lesser offense than a man because it’s not assumed to be misogyny.

what you said in the end has a lot of meaning to me. hate is hate. discrimination that disadvantages PEOPLE and ANY kind of misanthropy should be avoided. otherwise we're just passing hate back and forth. should a person's son be punished for what that person does?

but and even better question would be should people be punished at all if we want change? I believe there may be a few cases where it might do some good but it's retribution it's not corrective action most of the time...punishment itself is an extremely flawed concept it ignores the fact that ignorance is the prime motivator for Injustice. I understand that can be extremely frustrating but start treating people who BELIEVE they are good like they're evil and you're asking for conflict to never end. FTR I'll always recognize the bigger person. Hate crimes in general are stupid, either "Oh, this already illegal and harmful thing we have already weighted a punishment to becomes more illegal and more punished if we conclude it's motivated by (intentionally vague) "hate,"" with this patronizing attitude like any of the rest of us should obviously be comfortable being robbed, assaulted, or killed for some average reason, or "this thing that isn't and shouldn't be illegal because it's nothing has become illegal because of politics."

That being said, it must be equal one way or the other, because if the high minded preaching of equality on which so much stupidity of modern society is based is ultimately proven false, simply a pretense for some to control others, there will be no reason whatsoever for the strong to hold back from exercising their strength and we will see chaos.

I'd take it one step further and ask the question: Who decides what constitutes "hate"? There are many levels and alternatives before it achieves the minimum threshold to qualify as "hate".

Frustration, Resistance, Simple nonviolent anger, Resentment, Disgust, Distrust, Disbelief, More...

Many of these are perfectly righteous when one is treated unfairly, unjustly...disrespected, etc

This oversimplification... These snap judgements, straight to everything being "hate", lacks nuance and is the sole domain of children, morons, and ignorant liberals. Gender actually is a spectrum. That is how non-binary people exist. It is well documented that people generally like women better than men. There is even a name for it. Its called the Women are Wonderful effect. Discrimination against me and boys actually does exist. Boys get harsher punishments for the same offenses in school. Men get longer prison sentences for the same crime. This isn't necessarily discrimination. But, men generally suffer from more violent crime than women. So, I don't see how you can rule out that there are actions that are motivated by anti-male animus that serve to meaningfully harm men. You can say that that is due to the expectation that all men should be masculine which is due to male supremacy. So abolishing male supremacy is the solution to those problems. But, there are other groups that everyone agrees are oppressed who suffer from some of the same problems, like how black people in America also suffer from longer prison sentences for the same crime and are more likely to be victims of crime than white people. So, I don't find it plausible that men relinquishing power will fix those problems. I have interacted with self-identified misandrists. So I know that misandry exists.

Edit: Also, the idea that gender is a hierarchy is not really accurate. There are more men at the top of the food chain. But, there are also more men at the bottom of the food chain. Women cluster towards the middle for some reason (Helen Smith: Men On Strike).

So even if you accept that men's problems come from the expectation that every man should be masculine, there is no reason to think that that expectation will go away if men relinquish their power and women get their due power.
