Advice needed for early 30s divorced, and completely lost man.

We split in 2019 when I was 37. I got really sick physically at the time due to the stress and went on short term disability for 3 months (I contracted pneumonia twice during that time and developed a bleeding ulcer in my esophagus that left me severely anemic). My job fired me on the third day back at work once I recovered. It messed with me psychologically that they would do that to me, but I got another job not too much later. I hated that new job though and I started missing a lot of work after the first year so that I could spend time with my kid during COVID. They eventually fired me too. I spent the next 6 months thinking about what the fuck I was going to do with the rest of my life because I had lost all motivation to succeed. At age 40, I decided to go back to university to study chemical engineering and I'm five semesters in at this point. I don't know how things will turn out.

Yep face it your life has been yanked from under you. That's why we all talk about focusing on your self. First start working out, gives you something to do that takes all your attention. Make Shure you focus on your job while at work. Spend some time deciding what you want out of life. Then what you need to do as far as education goes to get there. Make a plan for you it's your life.

Start eating healthy and working out. Get lots of sleep and drink plenty of water. As you get fit your confidence will soar.

I don't know much about the divorce situation but if you're looking to pick up a new career and make some decent money you should look into the trades you're still young enough that you could get through an apprenticeship pretty quick and make decent money before you get to retirement age
