Ironically, men who are raped by women have the experience of a woman in the 60s.

They probably won't tell anyone. They won't report to the police or it will go nowhere.

If 27.5% of all yearly rapes are men being raped by a woman (CDC stats), yet these make up <0.1% of rape convictions, surely the easiest way to improve the experience of those suffering sexual abuse would be:

Replicate CDC research in UK; widely promote the results
Change the law to include MTP as rape
Train police forces to take rape of men by women seriously
Change media coverage about rape issues, so that it is more gender neutral
Have media coverage and campaigns highlighting male victims and combating myths

Instead, they ignore this and introduce gender discrimination into the justice system, risking the railroading of men into prison.

I don’t get the irony. Women even back then couldn’t technically be convicted of rape. Look up the Sexual Offences Act 1956

It was against the law to rape a woman. What you outlined was the social aspect

Instead, they ignore this and introduce gender discrimination into the justice system, risking the railroading of men into prison.

It isn’t being introduced it’s being maintained and potentially increased

Theres no plans to update the definition because the current one is deemed to be sufficient

What? You mean like referring to rape as rape in their coverage instead of fling, affair or, whatever else

There’s no incentive to go against the status quo and any change in that would probably cause a huge backlash.

It’d probably come down to two fallacies. It’d be treated as a zero-sum game or female victims of rape aren’t taken seriously as males commit the vast majority

The press won’t go against this or any myths. They perpetuate them, re-enforce them and, scaremonger

It’d be like setting off a mini nuclear device. You wouldn’t want to be anywhere near the explosion or involved in it in anyway
