so I've been reading about how women were historically treated in marriages and its not pretty.
but if I know anything about history men are going to be treated like shit.
im curious about how historical issues men faced in marriages historically like 1850s and back.
I've heard snippets for example if a man said his wife raped him than he might be castrated
or duals with the wife where a man would be put in a pit with a arm tied behind his back and left to tend for himself against his wife.
im guessing the way marriages were handled then men were really seen as extensions of the family clan and so treated as clan property.
thanks for any input
