I don't use tiktok, but the divine feminine is something that has been discussed in social media for more than 10 years, with many dating blogs urging women to exude feminine energy. I'm also pretty sure that this has been a discourse in many works of literature even before the internet was a thing.

I think it doesn't work. You're wither naturally feminine or you aren't.

I think the whole woo-woo magic energy of the universe thing is nonsense in general. I've seen a couple of random tiktoks about this divine femininity thing but it seems like another version of the whole crystal-loving hippie stuff so I had zero interest in watching any more of it.

I think it’s fine to want that lifestyle but I think it’s wrong to completely change the dynamic of the relationship when you realize your life could be easier and expect your man to pic up the slack. For the TikTok you posted, I think it’s true to a certain degree. I think many women have been forced to be dominant , myself included, from work or from bad men that take advantage so when you find a good man that you trust, you can allow him to be dominant because you’re safe with him.

I have been very dominant in relationships where I had to do everything for the house, finances, cars, yard, pets, etc. I was a lot less willing to trust that man when he said he did something so it came off as me imasculating him and knit-picking but he didn’t show up in any other way as a masculine man so on the rare occasion he did choose to be, I didn’t feel safe enough to trust his judgement based on his past.

I now have a bf that I will literally pack a bag for a trip and not worry about any of the details because I trust that he’ll actually be able to handle it without me. I play much more of the supportive role in his life because he doesn’t actually need me to do anything for him besides cheer him on and encourage him. I’ll run errands for him, cook all our meals, pack his lunch, and clean the house by myself but he’s constantly working and stressing so I like to help where I can. I still work but it’s only part time usually so even with house-chores I still do less than he does.
