Everyone in the RP likes to claim body positivity is about telling people it’s okay to be fat, that they endorse obesity, that they try to pretend being overweight is healthy. The true OG reason was actually about accepting your flaws as they are, that loving yourself and your flaws first gives you confidence which is highly needed iid you want to lose weight. It’s not even about just weight either, it’s height, it’s disabilities, it’s scars it’s for everyone no matter how they look. JPT is known for calling fat women whales and tries to say it’s facts and people just don’t like the truth. When people call her out she says people need to be bullied because that’s how you get people motivated to change. Her views about it are already questionable but the videos she just uploaded a few days ago has my blood boiling!

“Why do we all have to look at your fat, you know we are repulsed by giant blubber. We don’t like seeing it”

“Can we agree we don’t wanna see 250 300 pound women at the beach, on the streets just being so fat”.

“If you’re at a concert or an event this fat, maybe it’s time to go to the treadmill”. People respond to her saying she’s just living and existing and then pearls response is “maybe she can exist in the gym, live in the gym”.

“I think crop tops for fat people should be banned, I would only let skinny people wear crop tops. We should ban all fat clothes”.

And sadly it gets even worse because she then posted a video literally saying her YouTube views are low and says she applied for a job about body positivity. She then plays the interview where she is asked the basic questions and literally being condescending making comments about helping them lose the weight, essentially making a damn joke about all of it because that’s what people need is help to lose the weight. The interviewer even asked her if it was a joke and she replied did I stutter. It was disrespectful and rude. I do not understand why RP people think bullying is going to do anything to help change obesity. I watch those videos and know that there may be someone out there who sees this vile behavior and has potential consequences. The way RP handles a lot of topics has actually crested more mental health problems not less.
