A while ago, I posted at PPD about men walking away from a woman's friendship after pursuing the woman sexually, because it's too difficult to remain friends. Most of the women deemed themselves entitled to continued friendship.

Now I want to take it a step further. This has happened to me a couple of times. A couple of women broke up sexual relationships with me, then wanted to remain friends and to continue doing "friendy" things as before. They wanted, expected, to be "friends". They essentially demanded that I remain friends with them. I said no, can't do that. The women got all angry about this, calling me "immature" and "childish" and telling me never to talk to them ever again. All because I said "yeah, I'm cutting off contact because you've just broken up with me".

And every time a girl broke up with me, she'd always say to me, in all seriousness, and regardless of the circumstances, "I really do hope we can be friends". [And then I would respond], No. No we cannot be friends. And then she'd say "Jeez, you just wanted to get in my pants. Can't get past it huh? Can't get over it? Real mature, dickweed. Fuck off and die."

Anyone else had this experience?

Why do you think women do this? Women, why do you do this?

I think it's for a couple of reasons

--the woman feels bad about breaking up and offers "friendship" as a sort of consolation prize

--the woman does not want to believe that sex was the only reason the man was with her (spoiler - it's not the only reason but it's by far and away the main reason)

Ladies: If you've broken up with us and we aren't going to get sex anymore, we really don't want or need you. So don't act all shocked and surprised when you break up with us and we men then reject your demand of "friendship". It's not my job to make you feel better about the breakup, or anything else for that matter. It's not my job to help you deal with the fact that the main reason men want you is for sex.
