In this article I found there is a quote from a women that says “I like nothing more than pissing men off”….

Since when is that kind of causal misandry acceptable for a newspaper to quote. Men are human and setting out to specifically target and annoy any immutable characteristic is horrible form of discrimination.

Secondly the article talks about women reclaiming make-up. This makes me think a make-up company PR is behind the story. Are they just trying to repackage their products to sell them to women? Much like Mattel did with the Barbies movement. I think the women here might be getting played and it wouldn’t even surprise me if some of the influencers pushing it were shrilling for making up companies.

What concerns me about this is the safety of the women concerned. Report mentions that women using this style of makeup feel safer. The problem is, they're not actually any safer, they're just wearing a load of face paint.

Also, to be honest, to me this doesn't make them look unapproachable. It makes them look shallow, vain, and insecure. So, they're still likely not to be approached. But not, perhaps, for the reasons they're imagining.
