In 1974, feminists won the women’s educational equity act which provided the funding and congressional authority to influence schools to focus on girls (to the detriment of boys). See “The War Against Boys” by Dr. Hoff-Sommers.

The 70s and 80s is when a large number of colleges started anti-male women’s studies programs.

Not much later we saw schools start offering no boys allowed college prep programs.

In 2011 the Obama administration sent out the dear colleague letter requiring biased title ix proceedings, though many colleges had biased procedures prior to this.

When I was in elementary school in the 1960's we had many recess periods, our behavior grade was a separate grade from our academic grade and boys and girls did equally well.

Feminists started lobbying for behavior to be taken into account in the grade to advantage girls. Now how you act is more important than what you know and this turns off boys.

It's just hos before bros. The men have been driven out of the industry, and the remaining women simply give better grades to the girls.

Over lockdown, there was an interesting study that showed in large Zoom classes when the identity of the student was masked (by just being a username with no picture of their face), girls' grades plummetted because the favoritism they were being shown was suddenly gone.

Girls are being given yet another pussy-pass.

When I was in high school all the science and math teachers were men, which is why I actually learned science and math. Now that the male instructors have been systematically driven out of the school system, none of gen-z seems to know the first fucking thing about science. Go figure.

The entire education system has been highjacked by feminists since the 70's indeed. I'm not a young men anymore and remember not interacting with a male teacher before 3rd or 4th grade. And that was before, way before. It is probably worse today.

Also, a few studies floating around noticed significant female in-group bias when it comes to give grades.

Women are not "smarter" than men, you have dumb as a second coat of paint with university diplomas on both sides, especially in HR. It is just designed, on purpose, to make it look that way. And it's not gonna get better for men anytime soon.

It was a long slow process. The justification was always that it would help girls in STEM subjects:

- More emphasis on cooperation, group work rather than competition. Boys do better when there is some competition. I think both approaches should be used but in a different mix.

- More emphasis on quiet, sitting as opposed to more active ways of learning

- Less recess

- Boys are systematically punished harder for the same behavioral issues. Women are wonderful effect starts very early.

- Boys are graded lower for the same work but only by female teacher (textbook definition of sexism). This is well documented now, a study from the OECD showed this about 10-15 years ago.

- All the MeToo training which are basically telling boys, especially the white kind that they are evil privileged, and they can do no good.

All these things in isolation are bad enough but all of them combined create an atmosphere where boys can't succeed: they are evil by birth; their grades don't reflect their work an ability. Everything is set up to demotivate them as early as possible.

The whole learning system, along with socialization in public schools is geared at f*cking up the boys. Center of their socialization is just about always around boy(s) who you would NEVER let even near your son. They are placed in classrooms with other boys from failing households (female-led households) who play infinitely more significant role in socialization and overall learning and predisposition to better themselves than they do for girls. You really can't blame a 10th grade math teacher because of working with kids who already fail so much they can't even follow the class lecture. What are they going to do? Become class clowns. This is BEYOND the whole reward-punishment and the lecturing system that favors girls and helps them to catch up or excel whenever necessary, which is also a fact.

The education system didn't actually "lower" the boys' success, or at least not that much in any significant manner - since boys were enrolling at just about same percentages to universities as they did before. However, this is not thanks to educational system but primarily to men (not even women), who realize what's wrong and each of these generations was more educated than generations in the past - so it's actually logical that they should PROGRESS, not stagnate. Feminist schooling, family laws and other social engineering literally stunted progress for boys' education, or even reversed their progress. And they show no intention to stop doing what they're doing and neither should you believe them if they even claim otherwise. They and their actions are the culprit and you should remove that culprit if you want to solve the issue.

On the other hand, same thing didn't happen to girls because society and educational system caters to their needs and to help them as much as possible to succeed in their future. This is why Feminist agenda despises homeschooling - especially for boys. There's such a discrepancy among home-schooled kids in US compared to public schools. They are more motivated, more prepared for school, more adept to actually follow the lectures due to previous knowledge, they are more likely to be interested to read things in advance and do the homework themselves. They will be more likely to take the book and do all the tasks, even those that teacher didn't demand to solve. It's only logical that an average home-schooled boy ranks well into 90th percentile when compared to kids in public schools, both boys AND girls. And if they have a brother of approximately the same age as they are while being home-schooled, it's almost a given they'll be at the top percentage since they tend to compete each other in a positive manner.

But make no mistake, a school system that aims to make boys fail is not a mistake. It's deliberate. There's that saying by W. E. Demming that I saw in Japanese school while being part of a school competition, with words in English below: "A Bad System Will beat a Good Person Every Time". You should google it. This is why you can enroll your son with all the knowledge and motivation so he can actually skip first few grades - but teachers and public school system will likely beat him - and they'll likely channel those boys who weren't as prepared to something even worse (google school-to-prison pipeline for boys, especially important for boys from single-parent and minority households).

But you ever saw the elite schools, often boys-only even in this day and age, you'll notice a striking difference: these boys are highly motivated, well-prepared and the system does them a favor to motivate them further to stay atop of their league. Ultimately, such competitive environment beats the homeschooling approach in final results at the very top, with only homeschooled siblings being able to parry in any manner - yet they'll be penalized when college admissions still value the elite high schools over them, regardless of results (or, they usually max the results just like the elite-schooled boys). And then we go back to that claim that Feminism is an extended arm of the very elites who run the society.

Read older research, and there's always been stuff that was better for girls, in some ways. Girls have always been graded higher for the same work, for example, or praised for effort rather than called dullards if they couldn't solve a problem.

However, there were advantages for men and boys. Universities were literally medieval church institutions where only an unmarried man could attend (and they'd try to direct them into the Doctor of Theology to become priests).

OK, but what about school? Multiple choice favours boys, writing an essay favours girls. Which is done more often now? Sure, we could argue over which is actually "testing skills and knowledge" and "providing 21st century skills" but education experts are no better (most of the time) than idiots on reddit arguing, and it all comes down to gut instinct, so often if girls are doing better at something that's what will be prioritised.

If you want to argue that essay writing is important, you can explain that you can just google facts, but having clear thinking is an important skill.

If you want to argue that multiple choice is important, you can explain that you need a broad knowledge base to know what to search for, but writing isn't so important because we have video phones.

There's no objective truth (at least, not one that can be easily discerned) so your opinion will be mostly a reflection of your own bias, and the bias is towards girls. Basically all the obstacles that girls find difficult are getting removed, while the obstacles boys find difficult are kept in.

I saw a video from the University of the Netherlands about the science of the difference between the male and female brain.

The frontal cortex (part of the brain that controls memory, planning and other functions necessary for school) tend to develop earlier in a female brain.

This gives woman a headstart because the education system has been made equal.

But our brains are not equal so that creates a problem.

Slight biases in grading and less tolerance for rambunctious behaviour results in girls doing better in school.

Girls also seem to do more homework than boys making their marks superior.

Because men are more likely to get into more dangerous physical jobs.. I like construction etc. And historically female dominated jobs like nursing requires a lot more education than say a construction job.. you seem to find a lot more women in education, arguably more than men, depending on where you live. I live in Southern California and I've noticed that for the most part there's like two females for every male in most of my classes. Again I think it has to do with something about like physicality of some of the male-dominated jobs and the education aspect of a lot of the female dominated jobs.
