My conspiracy theory is that they had some idea and let it happen to have a good excuse to level the Gaza strip once and for all. But it doesn't really matter if they did, only that they do. I don't believe for a second that they will put women in the same combat positions as men; only in isolated cases to get some good pics for the media.

It's pretty wild how media is still openly implying that some lives are more important than others in 2023. Next people are going to say men are the more "valued" gender? Right....

Throughout this escalated conflict so far, over the last few days, I've seen a number of comments, whether from government officials in the USA, Israeli citizens to social media comments, all saying similar things like: "women and children taken", "don't take/harm the women and children", etc.

Though, this also happened during the early days of Ukraine-Russia war and every war in human history.

I am from egypt which is near from what's happening

two things:

1-Seeing other egyptien and palestinian women celebrating what is happening to israeli women confirmed to me this whole in-group bias bet. women thing has no biological basis but just a product of western socialization

2-seeing men kill and kidnap each other is just..... Idk who to support anymore both sides seem very wrong

Small population.

They also have conscription for everybody.

Their population perflecty undertstood WHY they needed in army (due to either propaganda or patriotism, depending on your side).

Their women are not allowed in every part of army even if they want to. Israel's version of feminism is more like "why Evil Men doesn't allow us to fight as pilots/tank crew/etc"(there are women combat pilots, they only did trials of women tank crew and decided it cost more to use women here).

What do you suggest they do? Bar half the population from enlisting? Send trained soldiers away from the danger while a massive attack is going on and civillians are being murdered?

They act like it is somehow morally better to kill a man over a woman. Killing either should be seen as equally bad. I do not support Israel because they have been bombing Palestinians way before this incident but killing civilians isn't the thing to do since civilians are not the ones doing. It's the government.

Not enough manpower. The sad truth is that there is no military solution to this conflict, the only answer is to talk and compromise.

We learnt that in Northern Ireland and both the Israeli's and Palestinians need to learn the same lesson, otherwise this cycle of violence will never end.
