Why are the most mediocre women told they are beautiful yet genuinely good looking men barely receive any attention for it?

Women compliment mid/ugly women a lot for several reasons, yes some of the time it’s malicious and to cut down competition by hyping up a mediocre woman so she doesn’t change anything. But most of the time nearly every woman is insecure about her looks and will vocalize it often, so for women close to one another they will hype each other up frequently.

You’re right though, it’s hard to imagine a good looking man posting a photo of himself on insta and all the comments being “handsome ❤️” “that suit looks so gorgeous on you” “slayyy,” “that’s my best friend 😍” etc

It's probably because of societal norms. It's normal and even polite for men and other women to compliment a womans appearance, on the other hand men and women rarely compliment men on their appearance, it may be because we value men and women for different traits or it may be because we simply appreciate a womans beauty a lot more so than we do a mans.

Edit : We should probably strive to change that an value the beauty of each individual no matter the gender and give more compliments to people in general.

Womens survival is based on their beauty historically.

Young attractive women who would make good wives and mothers.

Feeling ugly and undesirable is fucking cruuushing for a young woman. I think it hurts them way more than men because the importance of it is totally different contextually speaking. Really unattractive young women get a similar experience to men's experience in that no one will help them, it just goes on spoken about.

Second, the obvious that women think positive affirmations = genuine connection. Women in bar bathrooms gas eachother up and believe they are best friends just from speaking once. They think that is the epitome of human connection lmao

So yeah. Women's connection is almost aromatic and subjective. If the "vibe" is good they can bask in their Qween energy with their sisters and slay.

But if the environment starts to smell like shit, they suddenly jolt awake and think !?!?!?!? Who is to blame for this!!!!

Lastly, attention to women is sex and women are narcisstic, which is masturbatory. Therefore women like when they can psychologically masturbate using men's attention (if it's valuable)

And men know compliments mean very little because we understand how much work goes in to everything. To be successful at anything, you almost have to do it without any hope for reward or recognition, it's just seen as immature and annoying by most dudes. We will recognize the product and tell you right there how awesome it is. Then back to work sucka you just like the rest of us again

Personally, I think women on average are quite beautiful, maybe that’s just me because I’m an ugly loser, but I see women on the street which are unbelievably beautiful.

I think men on average are just not as good looking unfortunately.

Well for one, women LOVE lying to each other. If she has a fat friend who looks terrible, she will go and tell her she looks absolutely amazing and gas her up instead of giving a reality check, this is usually how a lot relationships work between two women. Men will usually tell the other person when they’re fucked up and won’t take it personally. Then on top of all this you have the large large army of simp losers just foaming out the mouth putting mid women on pedestals in hopes they one day get some pussy

Seriously it's just instinct. Men have the capability to reproduce almost unlimited times where as women have one shot a year roughly. This causes women to evolve to release a bonding hormone and men a territorial one, it causes women to evolve to find the best possible mate genetics wise and men to just try to repopulate. Of course we are much more than our primal instincts as animals but it still plays a role in attraction nonetheless

Women are valued for how they look. Men are valued for what they provide. Be grateful you can get a good job to be valuable. Women can’t do that.

It's bizarre, I notice it's other men that compliment that I'm good looking more than women.

There was this one podcast of two scientists talking and the one guy mentioned to the other that he was good looking (and objectively he was), and the good looking guy just sarcastically said, "ya, unfortunately, I hear that compliment more from other guys"...

My only hypothesis is because a woman complimenting a man's looks, is a power loss to them they don't want to admit. The only time I notice a woman compliments directly my looks are very specific situations usually when it's a social advantage to do so.

Because men are more opportunistic with their boning and with a wider range of potential, usually. And because women communicate and support each other by complimenting each others looks. So its not meritocratic - girls dont have to actually be beautiful to be told they're beautiful. The bar is very low for them.
