Need to elaborate a little bit more. Are you saying that your ex is late to start her purging time? Is she late dropping the kids off for your parenting time?

Pre-divorce. Keep accurate, detailed records of these occurrences. Judges and magistrates get pretty cranky, real quick, when one party is blatantly, disregarding court orders. Any correspondences with your ex need to be in writing. Email or text message. Be brief and polite. Keep it friendly. State your point very clearly and don’t fight. You must be able to establish a clear pattern that your ex is intentionally violating orders. Every now and then, probably won’t stand up.

Post divorce. Same thing. In this case, you will probably have to sue her for contempt. It will cost you money. Depending on your jurisdiction, if she is found guilty, they may give her jail time.

Having a stipulation in a parenting plan is key. Time is valuable and unless a tardiness was communicated in a timely manner, there should be consequences in my opinion.

I would suggest having the following language in parenting plan

If one parent fails to notify the other parent that they will be late, the other parent need only wait 15 minutes past the scheduled exchange time.

If the parent was beginning a parenting time period when they were late and the waiting period expires before they arrive, the parenting time period is canceled, unless the parents agree otherwise.
The parent who did not arrive on time must deposit $50.00 in each children savings account within 7 days if the waiting period expires before they arrive.

If mine is more than 15 minutes late, I keep them that long next week. And I don't tell her. She doesn't get to use that time since I didn't get to. She can sit in the parking lot and wait like I did.
