It is a men's right issue, but it's far down the list, as we don't mind hot ladies that much and we are trying to the get equal life expectancy first.

I find this argument strange. The presenter is not calculating the weather in real time, why should they need experience in meteorology? Do you expect models to be experts in how the clothes are made?

Pretty people have advantage, women ten times so. Admit it and move on.

News flash: these are not news companies, they are ENTERTAINMENT companies. "Presenting" the weather can be done by anyone who can read a teleprompter, even if they lack a high school diploma.

So, OF COURSE an "entertainment" company is going to pick the person to present that will generate the most views. Why would they do anything different? It's TELEVISION.

Next thing you know, they're going to start complaining that Hollywood makes more movies with attractive people.

I used to go to a local Mexican fast food joint for lunch and it catered primarily to Mexicans/Latin Americans. They had a big screen TV in the seating area tuned to the Spanish language stations. It used to make me laugh seeing the news and weather announcers; always young women with big boobs and lots of cleavage and tight clothing. Likewise with soap operas. The stations were totally shameless; you could never get away with that in the US.
