Two hateful women write an opinion piece and call it science.

We don't respond, because its absolute garbage.

Be prepared, we are going to see probably a decade or more of "I hate men and this is the science I invented to explain why they deserve it" kind of 'science' articles like this. There is no stopping it, but absolutely do not engage with it. Just remember that historically there have been 'scientific' studies to prove every hateful concept in history. Just keep a level head and turn away from it. No one of actual value will accept this kind of garbage opinion based 'science'. And neither should you.

Their "study" is nothing more than an opinion piece, because this is a moral issue, not a true scientific study. There are a few questions that need to be answered prior to giving an answer..

What age group(s) did they ask their questions?
What gender were their participants? Were they a mix?
Were the participants married, single, divorced, or widowed?
From what social hierarchy did participants come from?

If these (and other) questions cannot/will not be answered, the "study" is flawed and should be discounted as authentic.

I can’t remember the study, but they asked men and women how often do you lie in certain situations, for example if you made arrangements to see someone, but you don’t want to see them because you would rather do something else would you tell them the truth or lie. The women lied more than the men. On average women lie more times in a day than men do. Don’t take my word for it though I saw this a long time ago

Every comment so far has been along the lines of either a) ignore it, b) deny it, or c) distract from the topic by bringing up something else. They're all terrible responses, and if that's the best we can do, I'm not surprised people think poorly of MRAs (yeah yeah, come at me with the downvotes).

If you believe men and women are the same, then unfortunately, you're wrong. If you believe men and women are EQUAL but DIFFERENT, then it makes sense that there will be some ways that men are better, and some ways that women are better. The best way to decide how to deal with this kind of information is to think "How would WE like feminists to respond to scientific research that shows WOMEN are worse at something than men?"

Do we want them to just ignore it? No, I think we'd want them to engage with it, if for no other reason than to show that they're not just ignoring science.

Do we want them to say "Oh yeah, well you guys suck too!" and then bring up bad stuff men do? No, that's just plain infuriating.

Do we want them to deny it? Only if they have found a flaw in the research. Saying "I don't believe this, therefore it can't be true!" isn't finding a flaw, either. Nor is saying that the gender of the researchers means they can't be impartial. I've had feminists completely ignore research just because the researchers were male, and it was infuriating.

In the absence of any obvious flaws, I'd say the best response is to note that group averages don't dictate individual behavior. So even if, for example, men lie more than women, you can't use that information to determine that a particular man is a liar. If they try to argue that you can, ask them if they think you can't assume a black guy is a criminal just because more black guys have criminal records.

Literally laugh in their face. You don't owe them an explanation, and if you're not already avoiding them, you should. They're close minded. It always makes me think of that old saying about Horses and Water, but I put it as "You can lead a Feminist to truth, but you can't make them Think!" Ignore them, focus on your own life. The only reason they're so bitter is because they're losing. I know with the way the Media acts these days that it doesn't seem that way but look at what's happen with Disney pushing that Misandry in the stuff they've been making. They've lost Hundreds of Millions, if not Billions of Dollars. It's a sign that things are changing, and we are more adaptable than them, we always have been. It's in our DNA. While Feminists like to point out that the XX Chromosome came into existence earlier, what they fail to perceive in that statement is that Males were the next great step in Evolution. We've got the edge on them. Just be Patient. Nothing lasts forever. Feminism is degenerating rapidly. Look at the Historical Feminism vs now, they weren't so bad back in the old days. Now they're constantly pushing Misandry. Even many Women now are just backing off from those Feminist spaces and saying, "This isn't right, I don't want to be a part of this!"

Hey brother! Sure men tell more dishonest selfish lies but guess what? They tell more altruistic white lies (lies that benefit the person lied to at the cost of the lier) and the gender difference is even larger in this regard than the dishonest selfish lies

This is just culture war nonsense. If it's difficult to disprove a lie, maybe don't engage with it and feed people whom love seeing you defensive and insecure.

Funny, it's the same with traditionally feminine things too, like beauty. Women are very dishonest there, relative to men. I wonder if they surveyed women on how many of them use makeup, hair dye, pushup bras, flattering clothing, etc to give themselves a dishonest competitive advantage...no? Didn't think so.
