It makes sense. If you are going to be brave and "alpha" enough to start the relationship, have the guts to start it, rather than waiting for someone else to start it, then you deserve that alpha status throughout the relationship. Like you took that risk, she didn't. Risk -> Reward baby. Rejection hurts, even those who have been in the game for a long time. That means the other has to be submissive as a reward, do whatever the alpha tells you to.

Women often say, "Oh it makes sense for the one who asks to pay, because you are taking their time". They say this rule is fair because this isn't based on gender, and men are greedy little f*ckers. Then you can also say reasonably that "Whoever asks out first, gets to be the complete dominant boss" because it takes bravery and courage to do that. And since majority of the initiators are male, then males get to be the alpha, no matter what.

But all of a sudden women have a problem with this rule because they know that this would negatively affect majority of the women. But they don't think the "whoever asks out first" rule negatively affects majority of the men? They don't think there is a societal pressure to be the initiator on the man, and hence would negatively affect men. Of course not.

I am not taking a side here as to who gets to be the boss. Maybe this is a thing to decide between the man and the lady. I am just pointing the absurdity of this "rule" that is disguised as "fair" and not based on gender, when if you apply the same logic against them, they wouldn't accept it.
