The article indicates that they want the girls to be a head in the 5 subjects the boys still lead in.

What are the reasons:

1) Most broken homes are headed by a female so boys do not usually have a good male role model.

2) Less than 14% of primary school teachers are male.

3) Less than 35% of secondary school teachers are male.

4) Grades are now awarded with a high element of course work and continuous assesment which favours girls. Boys do better in exam only subjects.

5) Lots of out reach programs particularly in STEM to help girls and not boys

6) Female teachers show a bias towards female students.

7) The state funds a far greater number of female only schools than male only schools. Blatant discrimination.

8) More grammer school places are for female students than male.

9) The media and TV make fun of male academic achievments. Boys are badly portrayed in film

10) Cambridge University has 2 female only colleges that males cannot apply to.

The are many other reasons but I have listed just a few.

Society and government does not care about boys and males in general.

The education policy and many government policies are driving the birth rate down either directly or indirectly.

The outcome is that society will change radically over the next 100 years.

Cannot do anything about it so just sit back and watch.

Several reasons why this happened:

GCSE and other school programs are coursework heavy, and research indicates that girls have higher advantage in coursework but not in exams. This hypothesis is supported by the fact that after major change in GCSE in 1986 such that more coursework is included, girls immediately outperform boys.
The current schooling system is very bad for every children regardless of gender, but worse for boys. Children and adolescents are physically active by their nature, yet they are forced to sit still everyday. More girls than boys are able to tolerate this horrendous treatment, hence they are less likely to hate school.
Teachers grade boys unfairly. Research indicates that female teachers discriminate male students, when grading the same quality homework one submitted by male student and another one submitted by female student, the male student tend to receive a lower grade. Yet most teachers are women. This hypothesis is supported by the fact that in 2021 and 2022, the gender performance gap was the largest in history, GCSE and A-Level exams were cancelled in these two years, and teachers’ own grading constituted a significant portion of final grade.
Lack of role models. Although it was mostly men who made important contributions to every academic fields, children learn from adults around them. Since most teachers are women, this simple observation demotivates boys from learning.

To decrease the performance gap between males and females, the most effective way is to increase the percentage of male teachers. However this requires society to relax male gender role.

So it sounds like they are pointing out that girls are killing it in like 80% of all academic subject. Then, instead of asking how we can help boys achieve something more akin to parity with girls, they instead ask how they can empower girls to completely and utterly dominate 100% of all subjects in stead of “just” 80%. The boys can’t catch a break on anything.

The primary and secondary education system is designed to suit female learning preferences, and the educators are overwhelmingly female. Boys, if they step out of line, or even fidget a lot, are likely to find themselves filled with ADHD drugs, so that they'll 'Sit still, shut up and LISTEN!!', as the ladies like to tell us, even after we grow up. Tertiary education has been made a hostile environment for young men, a minefield where you're just as likely to get a sexual harassment rap as a degree. And, things have changed there, with female learning preferences now prevailing at University, even in STEM. My nephew started an engineering degree, reporting back that there are huge elements of group project coursework, where the females bleat 'but I can't do CAD!!' and manipulate the guys to help (keeping it a little secret between them, of course). I wonder why the ladies prefer coursework to exams..?

Of course with 70% of graduates female, we're looking at the lawyers, politicians and professional classes of the future. Most men are now invisible to these 'high achievers', as the 30% of males who have survived the education system now can't get a job, thanks to EEO, AA, DEI....

The five subjects include STEM:

At GCSEs, there were only five subjects where males were the highest achievers – maths, economics, physics, ancient history, and 'other sciences'.

How can we help those struggling girls?

Why are they being repressed by the men in those five subjects? It is patriarchy isn't it?

Has someone already started an extra budget and a (women only) team of experts allocating an additional couple of billions?
