I dont get how its okay to generalize men and their habits, bit as soon as you do it to women, you get called an incel, ridiculed and dismissed. What i dont understand is what perogative men get from rejecting and dismiss those stances ? Just what do you get at not holding any accountability?

I had a coworker who was a communist libertarian, had brothers and a father, good terms.

It seemed a cathartic thing for her decry her side of the gender wars, regularly making gripes and jokes at the cost of men.

They reacted as an actual misogynist would when told such behavior is wrong, unprofessional, and inappropriate, with eye-rolling and, "ughs."

I think some of it , is that it's quite trendy these days to hate on men.

And the other part is due to "male disposability" - Humans are at large desensitized to men dieing/getting hurt being a normal thing - due to wars and workplace deaths ext.

Because actually women don't believe they're equal to men. They are deeply convinced that men are superior and thus it's unfair to expect reciprocal exchanges.

Just like if an 8 years old started insulting you or hitting you, it would be of poor taste for you as adult to retaliate like you'd do to an adult.

Same with women. Despite all their claims of equality, women are aware that they're not. And thus if you take them at their word and treat them like equal, they will cry misogyny because they want the usual female preferential treatment.

I think it’s rooted in biology. Men at a glance appear more threatening so it’s more acceptable to overlook abusive women. It’s not right, it’s a stereotype just based on our appearance.

An unstable man is immediately deemed more of a threat than an unstable woman because comparatively men are biologically stronger than women. The threat we potentially pose can be judged at a glance. Look at physical abuse, let’s say a man and a woman were both physically abusing their child. Morally both are wrong and are horrible people, but if you compare the two, the man is often viewed as worse because men can potentially do more damage.

My dad was a misogynist. He used to beat my mom, then moved onto me after I grew up & got big enough that he felt he could punch me. My older sisters got radicalized by him and became misandrists, they also used to abuse me. Which was funny because he never laid a hand on them.

Comparatively my father’s abuse was worse because he was stronger and did more physical damage to me. But that didn’t mean my sisters’ abuse didn’t damage me. I always tended to focus on my father’s abuse more than my sisters because he was the bigger threat to me. Hell I often overlooked my sister’s abuse because I would excuse it as my father’s fault, which was wrong of me. We are all responsible for our actions, I was abused more than they were but I never grew up thinking it was okay to hurt others like they did.

At the end of the day I think people have a responsibility to young boys and girls to teach them about the dangers of misandry and misogyny. And if you’re a guy that is married to someone that thinks it’s okay to teach one but not the other you need to get your shit together for your kids sake. You can’t teach one without the other. Our society is hyper focused on just misogyny but any rationale person should be able to agree that extremism on both sides is wrong.

Men also need to have better standards and stop being simps to women who treat us poorly. I think we have a bad habit of thinking with our dick or over idealizing a woman because we want to love someone that we don’t see that some women are bad people and aren’t worth it. Any guy who worships a woman who thinks it’s okay to abuse men or operate in bad faith shouldn’t get our time. We sacrifice on our morals when we engage women like this because as long as we’re not the target we give them a pass. If I see women who think it’s funny or okay to manipulate or abuse men I get disgusted right away.

Because men don't care. Now the tides are turning and it's becoming more and more of a hassle to deal with, so now it's becoming more of a problem we're going to squash.

I've been heavily enforcing 50/50 in my personal and professional relationships. Split meals, chores at my place if you sleep over more than 2 days, and who works weekends. I don't care if you have kids, so do the guys. Especially when you decided to plan a girl's day on your fucking weekend shift.

A lot of women don't actually want equality; they want better outcomes while bypassing any work to get there.

It's simply biology.

This shit is hardwired into us from millenia of evolution. Protecting women has always been in both men and womens interest to maintain population (consciously or not).

Men have always been expendable and thus put in positions of risk with the potential of reward and damage. If society back then felt equal empathy nobody would have been willing to let anyone taken the risks needed for the group survival.

There is incredible difficulty in overcoming this- tbh I think it will never happen personally. Protest for men's rights is spun as hateful, probably labelled as alt-right/white pride. Men can't speak up socially as it's taboo and appears as weak by all listeners. Anyone outwardly interested in men's rights is universally viewed as an incel and immediately written off within mainstream culture.

MeToo was incredibly regressive and became an evidence free trial by social media. Because of our disposition it's not just accepted but considered progressive. Yet, when it comes to murder we all know that presumption of innocence is the default and clear evidence is necessary. This only happens because we all feel extreme empathy for women and stepping against the protection of women is in a tribal sense a big no-no.

The reality is that both men and women have to deal with non-logical crap in the modern age which makes wanting to revert blank slate type solutions tempting- however this isn't something necessarily of societies creation. Sure extremist feminism might stoke the fires of hate, but equal empathy for men will never exist and never has. History was harsh on women, but at least equally unspokenly harsh on 99.9% of men.

Re-education or classes to teach people empathy for men will not go down well and probably wouldn't help anyway. Whatever way people dislike DEI stuff now, from the other angle it would be hated and probably banned quickly. It isn't really right anyway.

I think the only solution is accepting the catastrophe of life for what it is. Choose winnable battles of you wish, but most importantly try to find a way to enjoy life- in some ways it's irreversibly unfair and that's to be acknowledged and accepted sadly.

Disenfranchised men will fight like animals because they’ve got nothing to lose.

A case study is Nobunaga Oda. I know this was in Japan. But he had a lot of disenfranchised peasant soldiers in his army. He gave them weapons, armor, training and with a little bit of respect and loyalty, they were very effective in the battlefield.

What’s to say, when the barbarians are at the gate, do you think the disenfranchised men are going to fight for us or fight for the barbarians.

Depends on who you ask as each side of the political spectrum has wildly different reasons. For the conservatives or right wing in general, I can't really say honestly. It could be because women are viewed as weaker but I really don't know. For the left wing, the argument is that systemic sexism means women can't get ahead as well as mean - so when a man is being sexist towards a woman, he is purposefully keeping her down whereas on the flip side, since men are seen as having the advantage, a woman would be punching up and therefore the guy should have much less issues.

I ascribe to neither of these ideals, hatred on sex or gender is idiotic.

Misandry is extremely harmful.

I've been bullied my whole life. I don't even try and meet people anymore because it's not been worth it.

If I was female, I would have had some innate protection and when I tried and tried to speak out it would have been far more likely that I'd be taken seriously. Additionally, it wouldn't have been socially acceptable to villainize me and the threat of being caught would have deterred my potential bullies.

But since I'm a man, many of the protections that are in society for human beings don't apply to me. Additionally it creates more angles of attack solely because of gender. So if you are a man and are socially vulnerable, you are in a very poor position.

Because Women have literal centuries of history as being the "weaker" Sex. They are still seen that way and they fully take advantage of that. It's not likely to change any time soon, either.
