Hi everybody, so as it stands I am planning on separating from my wife. She is yet to know this and no formal process has taken place. As she sees it life is as normal. But for me I've reached my last tether for various reasons.

I have a large savings pool in an account in my sole name with about 100,000. It was there to help pay our mortgage off for our future. I was more than happy to do this if we continue with a happy relationship and a happy future but now I just can't see that happening and the person my partner has become certainly isn't worth the sacrifices I have made to accumulate these funds . What I want to do now is try to protect these funds from becoming g part of the funds pool in divorce before we go there. Given that she has not contributed to this pool in anyway, ve it financially, or in any other manner, emotionally, or as good partner etc. I'm thinking of moving money out of this account piece by piece to other account held in other people's name long before I file for divorce legally. What I want to know is has anyone on here had experience in doing this kind of thing and has it worked out for them or do the lawyers still manage to screw you over? Any advice would be appreciated 🙏.

Side note. I'm not interested in going into the background of who did what or why I'm divorcing etc. The long and short of it is. My wife is not a nice person and she is simply not deserving of this future fund I have busted my arse to accumulate.
