Married 10+ years with 2 kids, age 9 and 6. Ex and I have come to terms on division of all assets, and 50/50 custody. There is only 1 sticking point, she has included in the settlement language that my father (kids grandpa) is never allowed to be around the kids unsupervised. While I understand this, I do not want it in a legal document. Has anyone else gone through this and how was it resolved?

Context: there are no safety concerns. My dad loves the kids, but does not understand age appropriate responses. He has always treated my ex poorly, and I have always had a strained (low contact) relationship with him because he will not respect boundaries. I have been no contact for the past 6 months, and he has not seen the kids in 2 years. My dad will never change. She knows when the divorce is finalized she will have no control over who I bring around the kids, and vice versa. She hates him and blames him for all of the world's problems. She is refusing to budge on this. I have previously told my dad he will not be around my kids until we have an improved relationship, which does not seem likely anytime soon, I am not sure how to proceed.

Is it wrong not to want this in a legal document, even though I don't think it will ever happen? If I allow it to stay, would I just not tell him? What would my ex be able to do if my dad was around the kids unsupervised?

I want this divorce to be legally over.

Advice welcome. Please and thank you.
