I got word that STBXW is sending a comprehensive settlement including property and custody. My lawyer had wanted to settle property first since custody will likely overshadow property and we will be back to square one and have to re-do disclosure, etc.

Anyway, I suspect that they will be offering a higher dollar amount in exchange for me relinquishing custody. She wants full custody.

This is very unsettling to me and feels like I'm having to buy my kids from her. In any case, her best-case (for me) scenario is still likely to fall short of 50/50. Maybe an extra weekend, or something. It feels, very, very gross.

I finally managed to find a rental with three bedrooms, adequate for the children.

Has anyone had any experience with this? I want to tell her to go get fucked, but then, we're back to square one. And I am out of cash.
