Very likely some scammy dating coach doing a bootcamp and asking guys to open with the same exact line. Guys that are otherwise socially uncalibrated, awkward, and "nerdy" (as she described) pay these dudes a lot of money to go out in groups and approach women. Old school pickup programs (even RSD) used to coach bullshit like this to socially unaware guys and with other pickup programs, you saw the Toronto Mall PUA fiasco where they had to catch PUAs at the mall and warn women about them.

My advice to guys is that if this is happening in their area, they will need to be more careful. I have seen spam approachers get into the game and they ruin areas for everyone. These dudes will spam 30 approaches off in a day, at a mall usually, and have the same canned pickup lines. Unfortunately, when they do this it does "burn" the area for some guys unless you go in more calibrated.

She also described the guy as "dorky", most pickup bootcamps teach that looks don't matter so dudes in their anime shirt and cheeto stained teeth go out to approach women.

I don't think there is anything seriously wrong with trying to start a conversation with a stranger. But she described the guy being upset with her when she turned him down at thats toxic. Also the car possibly following her around is unsettling but I'm not sure its related. I think some dating coach was having a bootcamp at the mall.

I once went out with a guy who was caught up in one of these tiktoks in my city. He gave off snakey used car salesman type vibes, but he was pretty harmless. He'd been spam approaching with the same line and was coaching other guys to use that line as well, hence the girls on tiktok talking about it.

Different people have different types of game. As long as there's no malice or harm and they have good intentions, I'm fine with it. I don't particularly like cold approaching so these things don't affect me anyway. But yeah, it's always so damn annoying when the twisted guys with no social calibration do something stupid and ruin it for the rest of us.

Remember guys, you rarely hear success stories about cold approaching, but they are out there. Tik Tok, Instagram etc are al about shock and getting views, and slowly turning into a female driven marketplace.

My advice is to ignore social media, keep grinding, and tighten up your game
