I matched with a girl on tinder whom we have a mutual friend with and she's very much my type physically.

I sent her the following message and it was probably too much for a first msg which is likely why she didnt reply:

"Hey her name! Just got back and saw we're a match Cool pics! I now may or may not have infinity pool envy heheh Nevertheless how's your long weekend been?" It was probably the "heheh" that killed it....lmao.

Haven't gotten a reply after a couple days. Her bio makes a joke about how she studied pathology and now talks about diseases to a socially unacceptable extent.

Perhaps I should've started with this joke.... "Where do you hide $100 note from a pathologist? Put it in direct sunlight." Was thinking of working that in if I send another msg.

Anyways, I know the usual protocol is "next", but since I'm very attracted to her and she seems cool I know you guys can help me navigate on how to re-engage without seeming desperate.

Try the joke? Something else? Acknowledge my first message sucked? Bit lost here. Look forward to hearing your advice. Thanks heaps!

These are some examples I was thinking of maybe using:

"Hey name, heard a joke today that reminded me of your bio, plus you're really quite stunning so would be kicking myself not to say hey. Where do you hide $100 note from a pathologist?"

or

"Let's just pretend that first msg never happened. Heard a joke today that reminded me of your bio. Where do you hide $100 note from a pathologist?"
