What kind of sample size are we talking here? Because there's nothing obvious popping out in your post.

If I had to guess, bad luck if you're talking single digit dates, or you're trying too hard if alot of dates. If you're the funny guy in your group you maybe focusing too much on entertaining her instead of getting to know her. Do you do most of the talking?

Given how rambly this is and how much it quickly made me not want to read it and feel bored, here's my guess as a lady:

I think men think having a sense of humor is a replacement for all elements of a relationship, conversation, or personality. And they ALL say they have a dark-deadpan sense of humor. So most of you aren't even standing out in terms of your humor from anyone. Most men aren't really that funny. Most people aren't really that funny. And when they focus on this, they tend to exclude the other stuff and then be surprised that they're "boring".

But they are boring. They're boring because once I go home and think about them and how they make me feel, I don't really have much there. At best, I have a light sense of like, "I was entertained". But that's not much. Netflix does more than that. Netflix entertains me and makes me FEEL things and more.

Just because I might have laughed doesn't mean when I went home I had a lasting impression that you were really anything at all. And if I don't have that, then I tend to move on. I try to give a few chances (thus the few dates), because maybe someone isn't comfortable yet or such. But after a few dates of just some light laughing. Nah. Not boyfriend or relationship material.

Those other guys might not be as smart or charismatic as you (although honestly, you aren't coming off as that much of either in this post), but they do make me think things about them which make me want to pursue a relationship.

Shit dude this post could have been written by me, it’s extremely similar outside of the fact that you’re 6’5 (wish I had this power lol)

My conclusion is that being more flirty, smiling, laughing, making silly jokes, is the way to go. You want to be upbeat and memorable. Of course I’m still working on this myself but that’s the next method in planning on trying

Social commitment is a longer lasting form of commitment than attraction. When people meet, they see where they stack up financially, kids, education, etc. The initial meeting stage of dating is dulling over these realistic endeavors when actually considering a long term commitment.
