Any of you guys with foreign accent here in the US, do you find it very difficult to talk to women, especially around others? I feel it makes you sound like a creep right away.

I guess it depends on the specific accent. Some accents are viewed favorably some viewed kind of negatively. Which specific country are you from? I'm curious about what the accent sounds like.

I have a thick African accent, and it’s hit or miss. I do however have a very deep/soothing voice (as I have been told). But I have concluded that people that are turned off when i speak do so because of my accent and the ones who are attracted do so because of my voice. If you have a thick accent try and slow your pace when talking, you’ll sound relaxed and your voice will come out better. What you should absolutely not do is try and fake an American accent. It never works, your accent will sound thicker in a weirder way. Your tongue just isn’t adjusted to speak like an American.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was most likely a lady killer back in the day. I'm not saying you have to be Mr. Olympia himself but it's proof of concept that your accent is not a barrier to your success.

Depends on the accent.

Aussie, British, Italian, etc do really pull girls.

If you do have a bit of a different accent (using words of other accents), it can get to girls. But not all the time.

Try doing things as a Indian guy vs an Aussie vs a local. You'll have the Aussie on top, than the local, and let's not even put Indian accent on here.

As someone who had an accent, you really have to also look good, only accent doesn't get you anywhere.

Accent, looks, charm, and you need to know how to approach.

Adding to the “depends on the accent” comments - it also depends on the women. American culture is pretty varied, so changes in location, age, education, etc. could have a big effect. Are you trying to pick up girls in rural Iowa? Or Brooklyn?

I too have Eastern European accent which improved allot over time in the US, but it still appears from time to time. However I found my accent to be of help as women generally are/were interested where I am from, and I can build a conversation around that aspect. Don't be afraid of where you are from. Rather think about it as an advantage.

I have a subtle accent, lived abroad from elementary school to high school, and I’ve only gotten compliments on my accent. I guess as long as you can speak clearly and communicate well your accent will matter less and less. Also if it bothers some shallow girl, who cares? Your win if you ask me

It's unfortunate, but there is often a negative bias against anyone foreign sounding. The first instinct is often for girls to think the guy with the weird accent hitting on them is a creep. Maybe try your luck in different cities. I'm not foreign sounding but I am a man of color and I've done not so great in certain cities/states (northeast, progressive areas) while doing very well in others (west coast and the south).

Im asian and i sometime mispronounced my word and as long i kept going i think the girl are nice they are ok, as long you look confident i think the girl that like you will smile and give you sign, good luck🥰
