Mate I used a seriously undercooked and in hind sight atrocious pickup line on my wife of 21 years. We still laugh about it.

My point? If your just into it for a hook up, then walk away. If you are pursuing for a relationship, then recover by admitting it was bad and corny.

“Wow thy was really bad hey? Sorry for blowing my first impression, can I try this again?”

Have a sense of humor and don’t take things so seriously.

In a playful funny way, say something like “it was absolutely horrible, and I still stand by it 100%”

Like the other guy said in the comments, he laughs about one of his atrocious lines to his wife now.

Chill out. People who are into one another naturally banter and tease each other. Have some fun and stop overthinking things

As another poster said, you double down. How you do that depends on your game which depends on your personality. I've had it happen to me and usually I follow up with "Really?! Because I have more" and then go on and say some cheesy ones which usually leads to us both laughing and allows you then to naturally transition the topic without having an awkward lull or pause.

really depends. if you are sending women funny pick up lines on an app, that's no good. women are bombarded with those and it says nothing about you as a person. if you attempted in public, then maybe she just doesnt have your sense of humor, on to the next!

There are two personel ways I deal with negative comments depending on my mood First ,try articulating how u felt when she said that in words .like if you are butthurt say you are butthurt with a silly angry face . Or you can take the smooth approach and be like "bad l lines for bad girls" with a smirk

move on. There are billions of girls turning the legal age every year. They're all replaceable. You already fucked it up. Move to the next one, and more importantly don't use 'pick up lines' just talk normally and flirt. Pick up lines 9/10 don't work, most guys that use them only use them because they have no idea on how to move to women and most likely have no verbal skills or charisma whatsoever.
