There are a lot of posts of people who weren’t successful attracting partners and then were. For people who were once very successful attracting partners and now aren’t, what happened?

I used to be a lot more confident. I would approach much more and didn't really care about rejection or what the women thought of me, which led to postive feedback from. Then I faced a long drought and started watching way too much porn and now I over-analyze everything before approaching to the point I literally can't anymore, which means no positive feedback, which means no will to try and attract women. I developed that internal dialogue that just tell me I'll fail and she'll think I'm weird and creepy and I just can't push past that.

I used to be pretty good at picking up women at clubs and bars. Rarely a night there was when I didn't get my dick wet. After some time( after I turned 30 and bought a house) I decided that I needed more than just the occasional hookups. I wanted to fall in love, get married, all that hallmark channel BS. Unfortunately, due to a combination of me stupidly ignoring my own mental health issues and dating a girl that was still in an abusive relationship(they broke up again and she was basically using me as a place holder) I ended having my heart broken as well as brain. She stressed to the max, resulting in severe seizures that caused visible brain damage. Since then, I've actively avoided the dating scene. Don't get me wrong, there are still girls that develop a crush on me; but all it takes for that to go away is to just mention my PTSD and boom nothing but a comical dust cloud left in their wake.

Location.

Formerly at an Active college town with tech jobs and such. Then moved to a retirement town. (Average resident age 58 vs most cities is 31)

Example, I am decently attractive. (Around 8/10, usually the best looking guy in a room other than your 10/10 guys) I travel for work and when I’m in other cities I usually have ladies approach me and not the other way around. Some cities are better for dating than others of course, and with that said if I relocate I am 100% confident I would have a super successful dating life.

This past week on travel, I was only out of town for a mon-fri, and went on two successful dates with beautiful gals. They wanted to go back to my hotel each night, but i don’t wanna play that game unless I lived there.
