Is it just me, or is all the advice in this field the same generally?

I think the issue is, people come here asking the wrong kind of questions. They come looking for a specific answer to a specific situation that is next to impossible to honestly help with, as people are all unique and different naturally. In turn, the same old stuff gets regurgitated.

I think a lot of people also come seeking advice in lines of "Do XYZ and you'll be on top of the world" when again, it's people you're dealing with not robots.

You pretty much nailed it though, with your first sentence. That's about all you need. How one gets to those points, is generally just self improvement/inward reflection. And most people don't want to actually sort their own issues but "get a girl" (which will be impossible without ironing out your own issues/baggage first)

You said it yourself, you're far from a Casanova. And that's fine, maybe 1% of the guys here are trying to be a Casanova.

Most of the guys here asking for "seduction" advice don't even know what seduction means.

I met this girl at work.

I met this girl online.

There's this girl in my class.

I've been crushing on a girl for three years and she's finally not in a relationship.

I got a look at the grocery store from a girl holding a cucumber, do you think she likes me?

When do I text?

I met this girl.....oh I mean I "met" her online.

On and on, asking for middle school advice.

There is a just a basic lack of social skills and awareness. It is weird to me that they don't even attempt to think for themselves.

But if a guy wants to be a Casanova, it is something that can be taught and something that can be learned. To get to that point, the basic socializing has to be mastered first.

No. Some of the core advice may be the same across the board here, but the attitude behind it varies wildly. It all comes down to your view towards women, how you treat them, and how you interact with them. And the correct ways to frame this are often not discussed on this particular subreddit.

Forgive me for paraphrasing, I can't remember who said this (it was an MMA coach who read it in a book somewhere).

But kickboxing can be boiled down into two things: punches and kicks.

To a novice, one punch is not much different from another.To someone intermediate, he will see all the nuances that make a punch or punches incredibly complex.

To the master, he will understand that kickboxing IS just punches and kicks.

So you can see how we come full circle; where the novice thinks fighting is just punching and kicking -- while the master thinks the same general concept, he also knows sooooo much more than the novice though they would both describe it the same way.

TLDR: Any skill can be rhetorically simple while being heuristically complex.

That is absolutely what the core of most of this advice is with a little bit of social psychology thrown into the mix. The rest of the advice are just tools and methods to get there.
