So I've seen a bit of a post-college phenomenon. There are some women who really, really want, more than anything, to find a romance filled, loving, chick-flick-like, relationship, where both parties fall madly in love. This women are on a mission to find this and they seemingly always meet some goober who is unattractive in every way but is so amazed that this girl likes them that they fall madly in love too. Now the girl is madly in love because that's what she wants, the guy is madly in love because he can't believe a good looking, sweet girl likes him. And within the year they always get engaged or married.

I've seen this happen maybe 4 times. I was curious as this seems to go in the face of TRP, does it not? Would somebody mind helping me understand what's going on from the perspective of TRP?
