Those will help with both individually, but to do both at the same time I think your best bet will to be to turn the conversation to sex. I remember a friend of mine came out with 'You know, I think a girls favourite sex position says a lot about her personality, don't you think?'. This was completely out of left field for him and I almost spat out my drink (not because it was particularly risque, but because it was unexpected coming from him and I found it really funny). He then proceded with 'I think you're a reverse cowgirl kind of girl, and you're definitely one for doggy style. It went down well, really well. They found it hilarious and then actually started talking about it, 'I love cowgirl, I'm not really into reverse though, I feel kind insecure' and more along those lines. Long story short, he had him some sex.

If you don't do that, just continue conversation as normal but move up the escalation ladder. A good time to escalate is when you're moving from place to place. Say you're sat down, you say 'Lets go get a drink' and you take her by the hand, maybe with your hand on her lower back.

You can even use moving to a different location to escalate. For example, 'Hey, let's go somewhere a little more private'. If you didn't pick up on that (which you should have!) you're going somewhere more private to make out.

I tell people what I'm doing that night, and if they're interested, they'll say something or ask a question. Otherwise I'll ask them what they're up to during the night.

I think a successful opener should offer plenty of opportunities to move on to the next topic of conversation, which should Directly link into the next topic and so on, a heavily abridged example of topic after topic:

P: Hey do you guys know what time this place shuts?

HB: About 2am

P: Ahh cool, I'm still deciding if I like this place, I'm new to the area

HB: Oh where are your from?

P: Oh I'm from fakeville, how about you?

HB: I'm from made-up town

P: Oh I've had a crazy night out there

HB: you don't say?

P: yeah, needless to say I ended up handcuffed to a lampost

HB: laughs

P: you look like the kind of person who's been in a similar situation (wink)

Opener should seamlessly segue into a story about your life, or another interesting topic.

"Who do you think lies more men or women?"

blah blah blah

"That's interesting. See I read that men lie more but women CHEAT more. What do you think of that?" < end of opener.

blah blah blah

"Well then... Here's an interesting thought. How do you define cheating? Personally I see it as..."

have fun.

I have a nice technique for forcing a topic if you're interested in that. You can also make a playful observation or go straight into a game/dhv.

(After opener) "Hey you're a C!"

she'll be confused.

"Yeah you have a C shaped smile..." explain.
