Throw away account. Went on a great date last night. Introduced through a friend, the girl and I (F=23, M=25) really hit it off. Bar hopping starting at a bar with board games (play scrabble), then a few others, each time racheting up the Kino to by the time we get to the last bar (with a secluded cave area) we're holding hands while talking and i'm rubbing her knee. I say "let's go back to my place" for the night, but "no funny business!" She agrees and we go to my place to listen to music. Conversation is so good that we're finishing each others sentences and reading each others' minds. We totally mesh. I finally go in for the kiss, and she withdraws. She tells me (and i believe that she's being honest about all this so go with that...) that she's in a transformative period in her life, and she wouldn't want to take on someone else as a responsibility while she deals with her own shit. She feels that whoever that guy is will be tossed aside when she comes through on the other end, as a symbol of those "tough times". I tell her (also honestly) that that makes a lot of sense and i respect that. I'm not looking for a 1NS, and could see a relationship with her so i didn't want to push it. I'm not here to ask about this as a oneitis situation, but do you guys think that's a valid (if not unsurpassable) excuse?
