I've been lurking for a while and soaked up some good knowledge here. I'm 22, but have been reading everything from Ross Jeffries to DeAngelo for the past few years. I like Mystery's dialogs and approaches, minus the crazy outfits, but that's just my style. Long story short - I am well versed in what needs to be done, but have had very little practice due to not being single for a long, long time. I'm sure nobody needs to be reminded that seduction is like working on a car: you can read about it all you want, but you won't really learn until you wrench around and get dirty.

I didn't go out last night with the intention of picking anyone up. It was the night before Thanksgiving, a notorious bar holiday for college kids home on break. Instead of going to a local spot where we'd know everyone, my two friends and I decided on going to a popular bar a few towns over. We get there and it's crowded, but not too packed to move. My friend, a natural charismatic guy, opens up a three-set because he used to work with one of the girls. They are all 8's, I'd say. We exchange meets and my talkative friend catches up with his old coworker. My shy friend kind of hangs back so I start talking to the other two, saying they must be good friends because they mirror each others' facial expressions. My buddy's old friend reminisces about something quick and draws the attention of her two friends for a brief moment, but one of them throws eyes at me. I excuse myself to get a beer, drop my coat off, and come back, and we all continue talking with my shy friend just standing there awkwardly. Girl of interest remarks that it's "good of me to take my coat off and stay a while." I joke that it's nothing personal, but I try to stay bundled up around people I have just met because you never know what they're up to. I give a slight shrug and put my empty beer down on a vacant table. She tells me I'm really putting them down, so I say "don't get any ideas. I have two friends here who will see to it that nobody takes advantage of me." She laughs and I say "come on, I have something to show you" while putting my hand out. She grabs it and I walk her over to the bar. We do shots and she makes a joke about how I tilt my head back to make sure I've got all the liquid out. I tell her it's nothing compared to the way she holds the shot glass. A little playful banter goes by and I put my hand over hers to show her the "real way to do it", etc.

We order another round of shots and she offers to pay this time. I say "okay, but don't be trying to get me drunk or anything." We then join my friends and hers on a huge lounge-type couch because the bar has died down a bit. We sit together, talk amongst ourselves, and SHE pulls my hand over and starts to pull it. While my friends and hers are talking, I look over at her and start to play with her hair, commenting how blonds only say they are more fun as a cover-up; that I bet she had Oprah Tivo'd and was ready to watch it when she got home. She laughed and then kind of looked at me intently. We both moved in - kiss close.

Friends are still talking and I get the subtle "way to go, dude" look from my friend. A little more time goes by, I pull out my phone, and say "put your number in here. If you really don't tivo oprah and other lame shows, you'll have to prove it to me some time." She asks for my number too, and my friends and I leave shortly after.

So what do you think? I know I don't deserve any credit for the introduction, because I didn't open anyone. I owe that to my friend and coincidence. But I think I did alright being alpha yet not a douche. I was going for friendly and playful. I'm thinking of texting or calling on Saturday to see if she wants to go out for drinks again.
