Your question is vague. Do you mean "how do I open a girl when I have nothing to say?" or "how do a I continue the conversation after opening?"

I'll assume the latter, since the former can be answered with, "Hey, how's it going?"

Be more interesting.

Get some more stuff going on in your life; it really does do wonders for conversation. When you went out with friends that week, went to a class and learned something interesting, and participated in some sort of volunteer activity or sport or community or art activity, you'll see all sorts of opportunities to talk about the stuff you did lately, which serves as a springboard for her to talk about the interesting stuff she's been doing.

Here's an example of how that works:

You: "Hey, how's it going?"

Her: "Good, how about you?"

You: "I'm alright, but I need a day of rest. This week has been crazy. You ever have one of those weeks where you've got too many things going on every day? Yeah, that's been my week. My friends wanted to go kayaking on the weekend, so I started out exhausted from that, and then my theatre class was doing improv which is crazy...fun, but crazy. You ever do any acting?"

Her: "Yeah, I did blah blah blah in college, and blah blah blah."

You: "Cool, then you know what I'm talking about! I love it when blah blah blah."

Or she says, "no", and you can disqualify her:

You: "Why not? Theatre is awesome. Are you shy? You're shy aren't you? We'll never get along. Get outta here. I'm just picking on you, get back here. I guess it's OK if you're shy. I'll just have to be loud and obnoxious enough for the both of us." (Push/pull here)

The conversation is a process whereby you try to determine whether she is awesome enough to hang out with you. But, never make it a job interview. Job interviews are the least sexy experience on earth for most people, so don't do it. "Where you from? Come here often? What do you do? How long have you lived here?" etc. You can ask those questions, but only as a jumping off point for a story or teasing her or otherwise spinning up a good conversation rather than just going from question to question.

Watch talk shows for inspiration. I like Craig Ferguson, though Dave and Conan are also really good and funny; though Craig is much sexier and has way better game than Dave and Conan, so he's my go to guy for conversation inspiration.

You shouldn't be texting with a girl up to the point you run out of things to say, because you shouldn't be doing lots of chatting over text. Just ask her out, and then go to radio silence for the 1-2 days until the date.

I suggest you go to the gym 3 times a week and take some xanax. You will feel so much better without all the anxiety and talking to a girl will be so easy :)

Fix the "I have nothing to say" problem. If you can't maintain an interesting conversation you're not going to be able to get the girls 99% of the time. Much of the seduction basics (check the sidebar) address the question of how you keep a conversation going with a girl—not for the sake of keeping the conversation going, but as a way of building attraction and leading into your ultimate goal.
