Do what your instinct guides you. If you think that is crossing the line, don't do it. If you think that it is wrong to mess around with women' feeling, then don't do it. If you think it is ok, then do it. Simple as that. It is America, I assumed. Do whatever the fuk you like.

You are old enough to set a guideline for yourself and to not let others define the line for you.

I've found that if you do very casual drinks dates / booty calls, only see the girl maybe 2 times a week, have sex by the 2nd date, and never do movie or dinner dates, they understand where it's at and don't even bring up the GF thing. When I do date a girl that starts giving off heavy "I want to be your GF" vibe, I'll eject if I think it's a requirement for her (and I don't want her as my GF). It's always after sex though. I was seeing a girl recently who told me she wanted to be exclusive with me and I talked her out of it.

Seriously, who wraps up sex and ethics in the same package these days? Get over it you backward Puritans. "Meaning meaning meaning." If you want meaning, get yourself a goal in life like curing cancer, and leave sex out of it. You don't have to love every girl you sleep with. It's possible, and incredibly freeing and rewarding to have recreational sex.

See, here's the thing, ethics are an abstract creation by humans. Sex was perfected by worms a billion years ago. It's not special.

OP is suffering from the delusion that one must be deceptive to have sexual abundance. That is not true. One must be explicitly open and honest. One must be vulnerable to an extent, and be open to being rejected by girls one likes because they don't wish to be part of the lifestyle you wish to partake in. I've lost a handful of lovers because they didn't want to participate in my lifestyle. That's okay. I had to boot one that I really liked because she caught the herpes from someone else, so I couldn't risk exposing my other girls to it. These are the facts of the lifestyle.

I tend to moralize to myself too much. I have screwed up relationships, casual and not so casual, because of being too worried I would eventually disappear and hurt the girl. My advice to others would be stick to your morals, but bear in mind that adults can make up their own minds about things and deal with their own situations just fine. So be mindful of hurting people, but not paranoid.

If you really want to have this debate I would counter with what about the other party. If you are playing against other parties who lie and cheat their wait to get there is it really valuable to be "ethical." Women lie and cheat all the time, men lie, cheat and dishonour each other all the time. When you go up to a new group and the set or girl [if its just 1] has the "if he can't tolerate me hes not good enough" mentiality whats the benefit of being ethical.

There are some basic ethics that should be applied.... i think that line is finely drawn at consent.

ethics are evolutionarily selected for. that is to say that they exist because the people who use them well are more successful and reproduce more often. i'm not doing the googling right now but there has been some good work published modeling various ethics and they consistently outperform unethical behavior.

it's not the right way because someone says it is. they say it's the right way because it gets results. so be ethical because it will help you to succeed in life.

as it relates to seduction, i play it this way. i'm honest with girls, even when it means that i might miss out on something i want. i try not to hurt them and let them know that i won't hurt them on purpose.

i also realise that love is a bloodsport and that they may try to hurt me (or at least, go for what they want at my expense). so i defend myself by setting boundaries and sticking to them.

if you have the courage of your convictions that is one of the most attractive qualities in a person. integrity, honesty, honour things like this define a man.
